Well there are options here:

1) The result may stand as is.
2) The result may be appealed and a rematch will occur if the two captains agree upon it. A formal appeal (ie via email) would have to be made though.

Either way the statistics from the match will be kept as the game had official List-A status.

I don't see why the game should should be replayed. Anything is possible in cricket. I still remember when NSW made somewhere around 400 (OD cricket) and Tassie replyed with a score well over 300. Anyone else share that memory?

Cricket is cricket, it happens. If that was impossible, so was Indias runchase in the last India-Aus series in India, but they did it.

All I can say is well done Blacks, great effort. You've taken me out of the OD game on a very happy note...well played Ash Chaulk, Rich, C Buts and BK Smith. I thought my bowling was alright, the second most economical of all the bowlers...

Yeah agreeing here with Slats, Bugssy and Mr P. I don't see any reason here for a rematch, I don't think Neil would either. To be fair, it was just a fantastic game of cricket, and I wouldn't change that regardless of whoever one.

If we had lost that game ourselves we wouldn't have asked for a rematch I don't think. Both batting orders put in a lot of effort and it will go down as one of those historic moments in CW Development League History.

I certainly don't want to change that.

seems a bit late to post on it now, but what a win for the blues! mahaffey and i dedicate it to the dude upstairs, fantastic way to end the season.

and as for the OD final! Muhaffy, Kenny and Myself were at the CW bar and when they saw the pitch they were wishing they were there. however, i think i would prefer the bar

since giong back down the order ive been ahving a run reast. my last 6 od games (5 being odis) have scored 251 and only been dismissed twice. great result boys we deserved that title, who cares if the games bordered on teh riduculous, the right team won

Wow, what an unbelivable match that was. It shows the depth and quality in this Blacks side is head and shoulders above the rest.

Well said mate, I think the world of this Reds side and know a lot of their senior members very well via MSN, and most of their senior players on this thread atleast have agreed to let things stand.

It'd be vain attempt on Marc's behalf to start a whole new ploy to get a rematch going, because I dont think the Blacks are going to relinquish this trophy that easily.

I will say this though, the better team won on the day, and the better team won the OD Competition. We were on top for majority of it and infact the Reds' final appearence fate was in our hands the whole time.
