They're all whinging, Liam...

If everyone did what they wanted, we'd have 20 a side, with 9 people opening and 11 first change bowlers.

Revolutions come around with mass support, not mini-whinges.

The man knows what he's doing.

(Most of the time, anyway)

reckon. people need to stop whinging. all of us at some point in time have had to work ourselves into the starting teams, and then into our favoured postions, wether it be bowling or batting. if ur performing, you will get ur chance

I think that us new players should still get a strong look in to these sides. I mean after all it is called the DEVELOPMENT league, and I believe that signifies the fact it should nurture and develop younger players.

Absolutely.

If you're performing well for the Dev sides, then there is absolutely no way IMO that one of the Internationals will come back and kick you out.

So most of the Red team's still under threat, then ;)

I think the Reds are unique in having so much talent waiting to come in - it is an honour to be skipper of such a side, and I shall liaise with Liam and other senior members of the side as to how best to incorporate the 6 original World Cup players into our team.

Rest assured that I have been following the team closely whilst away (too closely in fact in that I couldn't switch off from worrying about all these people wanting to open the bowling and bat at number 3 rather than doing what's best for the team - because my mind wasn't 100% on the task in hand in the final - when that chance came my way off the first ball I ddin't take it)

So in other words, all you whingers cost us the World Cup and I hope you'll all shut up and accept the selector's decisions in future! ;)

Cricket Web Green 354 & 196
New Zealand 'A' 292 & 260/8

New Zealand 'A' won by 2 wickets

Man of the match: MJ Mason

Coach's Comments:
It's the worst feeling in the world when an epic performance comes from a player and yet his team loses. Just ask Brian Lara, Muralitharan, Andy Flower, Age Master. In an innings of pure elegence, Age Master just continued to split the field ball after ball. Whilst his team-mated floundered against the seam, the Greens captain held his nerve to go to by far his highest FC score and his second century. With Xavier Rose, he added a record 146 runs for the 9th wicket. A late second innings burst from Rose then almost won the game for the Greens, but alas it fell just short.

Australia 'A' 365 & 332/2d
Cricket Web Red 193 & 227

Australia 'A' won by 277 runs

Man of the match: MTG Elliott

Coach's Comments:
The only real show of ball in this one came from rookie Zaid Ghansar as the Reds slipped further with another devastating defeat.

Veterans XI 345 & 363
Cricket Web Blue 362 & 259/5

Cricket Web Blue draw with Veterans XI

Man of the match: ME Waugh

Coach's Comments:
A great bowling comeback saw the bowlers share the wickets pretty equally, to set the stage for a solid batting effort, led by Jellett. Dark Hunter played well in the lower order to record his maiden half-century and the game was pretty even on first innings. The bowlers were again good in the second innings, but, after have the Vets at 258/7, they failed to finish the job in time and were made to chase 347 in 74 overs. Buts and Jellett were spirited in the middle order, but ultimately the game petered out to a draw.

NEW ZEALAND 'A' 164 43.1 overs
CRICKET WEB GREEN 165/6 35.3 overs

Cricket Web Green won by 4 wickets

Man of the match: Sanz

Coach's Comments:
I'm extremely impressed with the temperament of Sanz. He continues to move from strength to strength as a bowler and showed his worth again today. The real hero IMO though, was Age Master. The skipper came good again to guide the chase after a middle order collapse and was rewarded with his highest score of the season and his 3rd List-A fifty.

CRICKET WEB RED 283/6 50.0 overs
AUSTRALIA 'A' 165 36.2 overs

Cricket Web Red won by 118 runs

Man of the match: Ian Markus

Coach's Comments:
The Reds stay in the picture and bounce back with a huge win over their Aussie opponents. After a relatively slow start, Deeps and Ian Markus spurren on the middle order to elevate the run rate dramatically and end on a great total of 283. Markus raises his OD avge this season to a fantastic 192 with yet another unbeaten half-century. With the ball, Dave was as solid as ever and Zaid Ghansar grabbed two crucial wickets to put the game beyond the reach of Australia A.
---
CRICKET WEB BLUE 175/5 30.0 overs
VETERANS XI 167/4 30.0 overs

Cricket Web Blue won by 8 runs

Man of the match: C Buts

Coach's Comments:
Due to overnight showers, the game was reduced to 30 overs per side, causing a couple of minor changes to the batting lineup of the Blues. The outfield was wet and the pitch a bit tough to time the ball off initially, but StUEy got the ball rolling well and Buts held the innings intact with a solid effort from the 3 spot. Sam Vimes then contributed lustily late to set a decent total. Early wickets for Bhooth Nath made the total look even more imposing, but it took some tight stuff in the middle from Fisher and Andre to seal the deal. The Vets entered the final two overs totally out of it, but Mark Waugh took 15 from 5 balls in the Bhooth Nath's over (the penultimate), leaving 18 needed from the last over. The best of efforts could only manage 10 from Chris Broadbent though, and a classic match was won by the Blues.
Those 2?

If thats what your talking about, they are on page 33 of this thread, so that could be why you missed them?

For the OD if i'm gonna be in the top order can i come at 3 instead of 2 or move down to 5 or 6 instead?
You were promoted as a pinch-hitter, so a 5 or 6 spot is out of the question.

India A 395 & 228
Cricket Web Red 380 & 232

India A won by 11 runs

Man of the match: AM Salvi

Coach's Comments:
Another world class exhibition of collapsing after were exceptionally placed to win this game. Zaid Ghansar was superb in this one, oozing with confidence and batting like a pro. Craig knocked up his 9th FC hundred and Ian Markus also contributed nicely, but just did not carry on like he should have. In the bowling, Dave had a massive off-game and Vishnu Reddy wasn't too hot either. In fact, Ian Markus and Imran Khan Jr. were the only two bowlers who really looked sharp too action. Basically, the Reds players aren't doing themselves any favours for when the CW XI players return to service on Monday...

---
Cricket Web Green 186 & 380
Cricket Web Blue 288 & 239

Cricket Web Green won by 39 runs

Man of the match: Jason Toogood

Coach's Comments:
Top class bowling from the Blues in the first innings. Broadbent was solid and the spinners, Halsey and Andre were superb. Building a small score, the Blues then found themselves in trouble, before Buts and Andre combined for a fantastic partnership in the rescue mission. Buts moved on to his maiden FC hundred and Andre knock a solid fifty. The Greens batsmen the creditably showed more application to make a game of it, Jason Toogood batting beautifully again. Solid scores throughout the order never materialized into something big though, and the Blues were set a gettable target of 298. Chasing proved difficult, however, on a a 5th day pitch. StUEy was really the lone light, as others got starts without carrying on and Master Blaster did the main damage in bowling them to defeat.

INDIA A 178 46.4 overs
CRICKET WEB RED 179/4 31.2 overs

Cricket Web Red won by 6 wickets

Man of the match: Jagaways

Coach's Comments:
Great bowling, especially from Reddy and Muhaffy, to limit the powerful Indian batting. Chasing, Craig and Jagaways powered the ball away early, Jagaways playing a great knock and just leaving Ian Markus to do his job as the finisher.

CRICKET WEB BLUE 239/8 50.0 overs
CRICKET WEB GREEN 244/5 42.0 overs

Cricket Web Green won by 5 wickets

Man of the match: Jason Toogood

Coach's Comments:
More impressive cricket from the Greens. Decent rearguard batting by Andre and Halsey (the allrounder?) was not enough against Greens' seam bowling. Rob Timewell debuted in this one and proved worthy of the chance. The chase was then very well executed, with Ash Chaulk and Jason Toogood laying the platform, then Age Master and Adil Dewan playing it home with cameos.
