Hmmm smashed out of the park and batted like headless chickens by the look of it. :( Hopefully we can bounce back in the 4th test and maybe ill get a crack at the indian bowling attack. If not hopefully we gain sum respect and get the series to 2-1

P.S is our coach around? (not to be offenceive just wondering)

It's ridiculous. Last series we bowled part-timers like front-liners and this time we bowl everyone into the ground. Serious questions to be asked on those lines - plus what the hell is going on with the top order? EIGHT single figure scores from the top four batsmen.

What are the tactics? What's the gameplan? We deserve to know.

Tactics = work as a unit , Gameplan = win

that should be the basics..
Unforetuntately that message seems to have got lost somewhere.

You know that's not what I asked.
I know that should be our primary aim but thats not for me to answer sorry neil.. Btw i would request the vice captain to send in tactics for the final test as the captain is available but 'temporarily unavailable' at the same time..

On the note of not knowing what's going on

BTW Liam I think you might need to exchange someone for me, I've retired from ODI's. ;)
Was this sorted?

Just what is going on here? Why can't you tell us the motivation behind the bowling changes and aggression settings chosen (and what were the aggression settings chosen)?

For Aggression the batters start defensive .. except for players such as sehwag who start a little more aggressive than others.. and as the batsmen get their touch they slowly move up.. similar to bowlers except they dont start too defensive as when they are fresh they have a bit of firepower but not too strong.. and say if a team is near collapse the bowling will be a little more than defensive and not too aggressive as the fielding side will be looking to get the last few wickets..

But please neil.. i dont see why you have to scrutinize us each time.. you think we get some sick pleasure out of this? There is no motivation..

You can't expect us to sit back and not scrutinise when we get annihilated. Something has to be wrong - no one has suggested ulterior motives, merely that it's just not being gone about the right way. We seemed to perform a lot better when Liam simmed the 'A' games - maybe it's just a way of 'playing the game' - worth a think about.

its just hard to take that we continually get hammered all the time, im not sure of the exact stats of our team compared to others but the lack of progression we are showing is disturbing. We know you dont want us to lose lord but i guess we are all just frustrated with losing all the time...

Fair..
Im not quite sure but i could think whoever the captain was on the 'A' tour contributed with some tactics which certainly help.
And liam gave me simming tips aswell ( im not sure if that was after/during the 'A' tour ) so to say we are running on almost similar tactics.

yeh i would understand.. that is why i might have read neil coming on a bit too hard .. but rather it was the frustration..

I don't necessarily expect to get a bowl. I mean guys like Marc are probably ahead of me, fair enough too! I just think when India has a big partnership and our bowlers aren't doing too much, we should bring on a part-timer! Doesn't matter who it is, as long as they can roll their arm over, there's always the chance of them breaking a prtnership. If it doesn't work and they're bowling badly after 5 bowlers than that's fine. But it's always worth a try!
i think its deffinatly something that should b tried.

but in saying that, so much of the conversatoin about the game has focused on the bowling - yet we got bowled out for 96? the whole team didnt function in this game. we cant blaim the bowlers.

Disappointing effort all round apart from Hakon and maybe Liam. Disappointing last 2 tests after that first test offered such promise.

Let's lift our heads, at the end of the day playing India is difficult. Playing India at home is extemely difficult! So we can still be proud.

Just one thing to query, why on earth didn't we try a part-timer?? The Indian batting line-up carved us up once again and it just seems strange that we haven't used ONE part-timer all tour. I'm certainly not suggesting myself, although I'd be happy to, but anyone! Our bowlers are all bowler large amounts of overs and it just seems strange not to ever bring on a part-timer during large partnerships...

Let's put in a big one for the last test though boys!
How about you take your catches before you start critisising other players in the side!

:p

On the match, obviously its not great again, and if the top 4 produce just 22 runs combined from both innings were always going to be in trouble, but we also failed to bowl out India again and in general we are unpenatrative. But how many teams go to India and do well? we've got to keep concentrating on improving gradually- its certainly dissapointing, but not disgraceful.

My batting seems to be going ok, shame about the bowling tho...
