Another good performance from the boys, Goff lead the way with a masterful 94 from only 73 balls. Got great support from Camps, Butler and Robbins. Pickup and Robbins both bowled great spells to see us to victory!

Second match was an improvment on the first, still getting belted by Sehwag and Tendulkar :( (I'm not the first bowler to have this happen thou....)

Well done, guys great win. Seems like we got the makings of a very good ODI side here. Let's make it 3-0!

Although I didn't pick up a wicket, I kept it tight, so I'm happy with my personal performance. It was disapointing not to see Blewy get his ton, and there were fine contributions from everyone. Good team effort.

Small point, but the file says Neil was due in at 9, surely some mistake?!
The batting lineup wasn't preset, so the parts of the order that didn't come into play were granted to the TV coverage crew for creative arrangement.

Mr M's Player Ratings
2nd ODI

I Markus - 2/10
Little impact on the game with the bat, but no errors in the field. Points for turning up.

LA Camps - 6/10
Good knock to give a measure of solidity and momentum at the top, but fairly disastrous with the ball.

BJ Goff - 9/10
Brilliant attacking innings at one drop, then another inspirational showing of man-management and a couple of great stops in the field.

CR Butler - 8/10
More quality batting from the youngster, complemented with a catch and some solid fielding.

MJ Robbins - 9/10
Lovely innings of true urgency, remniscent of the World Cup. Good footwork to the spinners for crucial sixes in the dart overs. With the ball, almost faultless. Just one boundary (and a six to AA :p) given up and 3 big wickets, including that of the top scorer.

RJ Malone - 4/10
Little impact with the bat once more, but electric in the field. Kept out of the game with the ball, but still essential in the team effort.

AP Chaulk - 7/10
Another brief cameo allowed, with moderate rewards. Once more superb behind the stumps and a couple of catches to show for it.

NS Hoy - 7.5/10
Not much chance for impact with the bat. Claimed the big wicket of Dravid and then that of the potential matchwinner Dhoni. Expensive, but crucial wickets help the cause.

CM Broadbent - 8/10
Extremely expensive, but the wickets of Tendulkar and Ganguly placed the team firmly in control. For that alone, the score is justified.

KS Wright - 7/10
Steady and solid, line and length in the midst of carnage. Crucial part of the bowling attack on the day.

NS Pickup - 8/10
Another exceptional performance of loopy legbreaks. Dismissed two tailenders to get his figures sharper, but was solid and consistent throughout.

Phew! That sort of creative thing we can do without!

Disappointed to concede those late runs - dented the figures a bit, but also made the result flattering to the Indians.

Still, my policy of giving AA a free hit means he'll likely stay in the side, and then we'll be able to feast on his bowling again! ;)
