Amazing. Camps just destroyed the tail, left us with a total we can definitely chase. Not a pushover or anything, but we've chased much bigger scores than that this year, and we have a very deep batting lineup with Currie in the team.

Patrick was expensive, but took key wickets early, and Halsey turned it in the middle.

At least I was economical. ;)

269 all out... could have been a bit more, but any side would struggle against an incredibly-in-form Liam Camps.

Well it started with 2 wickets in the opening over, and by the time Markus was removed by Camps for 10, the Blues were ecstatic and in charge. Enter Rob Dauth and Marc Robbins. Never one to shy away from the CW Blue attack (at least not for the last two seasons) Dauth led the charge with an incredible mix of intelligence and strokeplay. We weren't sure he had it in him, but all who saw that innings today were well convinced.

Robbins also batted well by his side, but Halsey's double strike set the Reds back once more. Thamba Mamesh, always batting for his OD career these days, played cautiously at the start but ultimately made one of his best and most crucial contributions of the season. With him was Sean Bennett, and after the cameo of Dave Watt from the 10-spot (it rhymes too), CW Red got to a challenging 269 all out.

Hardly in form. Lots of rubbish deliveries. Just one of those days.

Cricket Web Blue require 85 runs from 130 balls with 8 wickets in hand.

- Dave Watt to take the new ball.
- 0.2 Watt to Cloete: Flicked away nicely. They'll come back for two here, and the Blues are off and running.
- 0.3 Watt to Cloete: WOW! That's raced away through the covers. Cloete just leaned into it and it shot away. FOUR!
- 0.4 Watt to Cloete: "Catch it" is the call, but that ball flew fine off the top edge of the hook shot, and it's FOUR!
- It's Edmunds from the other end. The crowd is really energized now.
- 1.3 Edmunds to Camps: Flashing at it! It flies over Markus at slip and that's FOUR!
- 4.6 Watt to Cloete: On-drive and a beaut too! That was taken from a legstump line and timed to perfection past Edmunds at mid-on.
- Robbins replaced Edmunds for the 6th over. Early changes here for the Reds as the Blues have started at almost 10 per over!
- 5.4 Robbins to Cloete: Opened the face and it goes away for FOUR!
- Rich Edmunds replaces Watt now. Watt really searching for a wicket.
- 12.4 Edmunds to Cloete: That's pulled nicely! They're back for two... and they'll get another! An overthrow and that's 50.

Andrew Cloete 50 (38 balls), 5 fours, 0 sixes

- Edmunds' one-over spell has ended. It's Sean Bennett now for the 15th.
- 17.5 Robbins to Cloete: DROPPED! Cloete hit it on the up and Mamesh couldn't hang on at short extra cover. Robbins is extremely disappointed there.
- 20.1 Bennett to Cloete: DROPPED again! The bottom edge of the cut and it deflects off Gray's gloves. They run a single. Cloete living a charmed life at the moment.
- 20.2 Bennett to Camps: BANG! Not characteristic of Camps, but that's gone deep into the midwicket stand! Fifty!

Liam Camps 50 (60 balls), 3 fours, 1 six

- Gaurav Nayak relieves Robbins. Robbins did much the same job Fuller did earlier - tight and consistent.
- 22.3 Bennett to Cloete: LOUD SHOUT!!! Bennett convinced... but it's not out. Bennett stares in disbelief. Cloete survives. The replay portrays that as very very close...
- 22.4 Bennett to Cloete: Take that! Cloete gets his own back. Down the track and slog sweeping that on the full... for SIX!
- 23.4 Nayak to Cloete: OUT! Finally Cloete's luck runs out. Dropped twice and a close LBW shout, but this time he just chips the ball to Robbins at short cover. The Reds have a sniff now.
- It's a make or break situation for the Reds now, so Dave Watt brings himself back into the attack. He needs to get a couple wickets in this spell.
- 24.2 Watt to Goff: SHOT! What a peculiar wicket this is! There's something in it for the seamers, but anything off line is punished. Goff spanked that square of the wicket for FOUR!
- 24.3 Watt to Goff: And FOUR more! But this one is off the edge through the vacant second slip. Watt kicks the turf.
- 26.4 Watt to Goff: WOW! The text book cover drive to a ball that wasn't even overpitched! Goff collects FOUR more!
- 26.5 Watt to Goff: And another! FOUR! Goff wants to end this quickly.
- Alex Feeney for Dave Watt.
- 28.2 Feeney to Camps: GONE! Stumped comfortably by Gray and that's a sigh of relief. A very good innings from Camps ends. The Reds once again have a bit of an opening.

Great stuff Liam, definitely a gettable target now. Apologies for my useless performance, and as much as I'd love to make up for it with the bat, I hope we won't have to go that far down.

LA Camps - Season 10
22 wickets @ 17.82
Economy: 5.04
S/Rate: 21.23

...before this match.

And that's just the bowling - 612 runs @ 55.64 with the bat, too! If that's bad form, I hate to think of what you think of the rest of CWLand. :(
