Trav on fire here.

edit: Nice, finishes with 4. Some form for all our bowlers, and should be another win. Undefeated this quarter so far. :)

4-fer for Trav and should have had 6.

Top performance by the bowlers, just need us batsmen to stand up now. C'mon Blue!

at CW Oval

Red 306 all out
Blue 411 all out
Red 190 all out

Blue target to win: 86

Stumps day three: Blues 44/2

Blue 2nd innings:

Code:
Young not out 21
Camps c Robbins	b Watt 0
Demeza lbw b Watt 0 (1)
Goff c Robbins	b Loganathan 56
Cloete not out 0
Total 86/3 (22 ov)

Kennett 5-1-24-0
Watt 5-2-16-2
Borcich 3-0-8-0
Robbins 6-1-21-0
Loganathan	3-1-10-1
1.2 Watt to Camps, full ball, Camps doesn't know which way to play at that, eventually gets the ball to fly up in the air to Robbins. And here comes Demeza!
1.3 Watt to Demeza, full, swinging in, Demeza tries to whack it but misses by miles, plumbest lbw you'll ever see, nil for two.
1.6 Watt to Goff, Blues off the mark, drives through cover and the fielders can't stop it, four all the way.
5.1 Watt to Goff, edges, through the slips and down to third man for four, Goff into double figures and the target's creeping nearer.
9.4 Watt to Goff, more runs, Goff moves to 31 and Blue now just need 44 to win the game tomorrow.
9.6 Stumps day three.
20.5 Loganathan to Goff, sliced, caught by Robbins, but it's surely just a consolation wicket.
21.6 Robbins to Young, one bye, that's it, seven-wicket win for Blue after a bit of nerves early on.

Man of the Match: Peter Young (Blue) 170 runs for once out

Goff for 50?

Good show put on by Blue bowlers as well as Young and Cloete just took it too far for Reds to handle. Good game though, and well played.

Hard luck, guys, great performances by both sides, congratulations to moerk and tharmi for their century and 5-fer respectively. Things starting to look up for tharmi.

A perfect batting pitch with no visible cracks.
High bounce.
Fast outfield.
Cloudy with occasional breaks of sun.

Cricket Web Colts win the toss and choose to bat.

Colts 1st innings:
Code:
Pitt not out 16
Burke not out 28
Total 51/0

Cunningham	4-0-13-0
Rose 4-0-34-0
3.6 Rose to Burke, pitched full, Burke drives hard, that runs away to the long on boundary for four, that's his fourth boundary in this game after just four overs! Completely different from his grade cricket form!
6.6 Cunningham to Pitt, pitched full and outside off, Pitt tries to drive away, gets an awkward top edge but Lezama can't hold on
7.6 Rose to Burke, more boundaries for Burke, that's 28 up and the half-century for Colts. An amazing start.

Rose 10.4-0-73-2
Cameron 15-0-56-4
Weber 15-1-48-2
Malone 9-2-23-1
10.3 Cunningham to Burke, and again! Lezama fails to hold on, although that one flew very high above his head and was a difficult chance
10.6 Rose finally taken off.
14.1 Weber to Burke, glanced down the leg side, three runs and a half-century for Burke, a good way to make his seasonal debut. Already well past his previous highest first-class score of 34.
15.4 Cameron to Burke, edges it, Malone fails to hold on and it's another life for Burke, who keeps the ferocious pace up.
16.4 Weber to Burke, driven back to the bowler, he fumbles it, Burke sets off for a run, Pitt doesn't quite react, Weber follows the ball and finally gets a throw in but it's too late, it's over Lezama and Pitt easily gets the single in the end.
17.2 Cameron to Burke, driven into the point region, picked up for a single, Burke onto 62 and the partnership is worth 100.
18.1 Weber to Burke, that's the end of the road, ball kisses the edge before landing safely into the hands of Megan Gaukroger at first slip, out for 63.
21.2 Cameron to Gary Nayak, outside off, hoiks and that's poor batting by Nayak, easily taken by Bharanidharan
26.1 Weber to Pitt, pitches it short, Pitt takes the bait but only gets a bottom edge, Weber is shocked and fails to hold on, Pitt lives on
29.3 Rose to Pitt, Rose is back, Pitt welcomes him by driving him to the boundary, another half-century in this ripping opening session.
29.5 Rose to Pitt, yet another boundary, Pitt's highest first class score this season.
32.4 Cameron to Pitt, short and up his nose, Pitt fends it away half-heartedly, wafted to Lezama who holds on this time, out for 66.
33.1 Cunningham to Jasotharan, another short-pitched ball to scare the new batsman, wildly driven at, it's flown up in the air, Lezama tries to get to it but slips and drops the catch, Jasotharan still in there.
34.1 Cameron to Jasotharan, good length, outside off, bounces off the seam and into the batsman, Jasotharan gives a bottom edge, Cameron fumbles, second life
35.6 Cunningham to Towns, good length, just outside off, Towns tries to drive, it's gone through bat and pad and into the stumps, clean bowled for 21
38.5 Cameron to Jasotharan, another one! stunning spell of seam bowling here, they just seem to get everything moving, this time Cameron holds on to the return catch and Colts have lost their last five wickets for just 71
40.1 Cameron to Malthus-Howell, good length, just outside off, seams away, moves just enough to kiss the edge, Cunningham takes the catch at point, six down! Real comeback from Green here!
41.4 Malone to Rai, good length ball, outside leg, tries the leg glance but can only get a thin edge, another drop from Lezama
42.2 Cameron to Hancock, much needed boundary to get some pressure off
45.2 Malone to Rai, just short of a length, Rai miscues the drive and ends up with a thin edge behind, Lezama holds on this time, the last five wickets have gone for just 28 runs
51.4 Malone to Comley, overpitched, smacked into the crowd, Comley into double figures and Colts past 200
52.5 Rose to Comley, lovely ball, finally Rose gets a wicket, Comley just fends to point where Cunningham holds a simple catch
55.2 Weber to Wright, full ball, Wright tries to drive, it's landed a foot short of Scott's diving attempt, Wright lives on
55.3 Weber to Wright, full ball, Wright tries to drive, it's landed in the crowd a foot short of Scott's mother, Wright into double figures
55.4 Weber to Wright, full ball, Wright tries to drive, it's landed right in the hands of Malone at midwicket. Interesting passage of play.
56.5 Rose to Hancock, overpitched, still not too sure on the length, Hancock says thanks and drives for SIX
56.6 Rose to Hancock, short, Hancock fends away from his body in an attempt to get the ball away and take the single, it's gone just short of Cunningham who doesn't get forward quickly enough, and that's tea.
58.3 Rose to Hancock, another big drive, four runs. Useful last-wicket partnership here
59.1 Cameron to Thomas, smacked past midwicket, four runs.
59.2 Cameron to Thomas, outside off, tries to drive, gets a thin edge and it's flown through the slips region, it goes all the way down to deep backward point, four more!
60.2 Rose to Hancock, drives hard, Bharanidharan tries to hold on but can't catch that one, Hancock lives on
60.4 Rose to Hancock, full and fast, Hancock attempts the big hit but is nowhere near the ball, which cannons into his pad, lbw for 27.

Very happy with the good start to the innings, exactly what we needed. Let's build on this!

Congrats on the maiden 50 on your first FC outing this season, Burke, you've played really well. :)

EDIT: Ending on 63, but not before playing the leading role in a 100 run opening partnership, quite possibly one of the top 1-2 partnerships we've had in that long-struggling 1st wicket.
