Well played, mate. Any ideas who I play next, Sean..?
Word has it that you'll meet Burpey in the second round. I'll post the draw in full when this found finishes.

Seven matches remaining, including the blockbuster. Congratulations to Nayak on his big win. Pasag will come back big next time, I'm sure.

Campbell's Chunky Soup brings further updates on early tournament betting. How chunky can you get?

With the first day of practice and one official match gone, there's been some changes in the betting trends, with Demeza firming at the top and Fuller dropping off the pace due to his two losses. Richards and Nayak have entered the market with big attention early, while Murphy remains the steady favourite.

Day 2 Odds
Murphy - 3/1
Demeza - 5/1
Fuller - 11/2
Bennett - 13/1
Borcich - 18/1
Nayak 22/1
Hakon - 25/1
Burpey - 25/1
Edmunds - 25/1
Jamee - 30/1
Stedman - 35/1
Richards 35/1
Threes 50/1
Andy - 66/1
Blackman - 66/1
All others - 99/1

Update bought to you by Campbell's Chunky Soup - If it ain't chunky, it ain't funky.

Nayak further staked his claims as a contender with 2 victories against Jamee, the second one being the more convincing.

Whilst Borcich has been playing himself back into form with two comfortable victories against Stedman and the much fancied Edmunds.

While over at table 1, It was the ever prominent Murphy who accounted for the seemingly struggling Dave Richards.

Practice Update

Dave Richards notched up successive defeats in practice, falling first to Norwegian Mørk in a rout before failing to take a last-ball thriller after an excellent finish from Nick. Mørk continued by nearly bottling a 32-9 lead with Stedman, as the combatants got stuck on pink before Mørk completed a long pot and rounded off with a good win.

Darren Murphy just completed a break of 23 against Alex Crampton, but is only leading by nine, while the match between Hoggy and alternative looks a close one after blue and black got a bit stuck.

Courtesy of Campbell's Chunky Soup - both chunky and clunky

The missing faces in practice so far are Roseboy, Voltman and Mister Wright. No update from Barney Rubble about whether or not he can connect yet, either.

Around the tables thanks to Campbells Chunky Soup...

Snooker action all over Vegas tonight, as tables 1, 2, 3 and 4 host CCRBT competitors in practice matches. Results include alternative defeating Borcich, Crampton performing well before ultimately losing to both Murphy and Fuller, Stedman defeating Blackman and Hakon hammering Pasag.

In current games, Murphy looks set to win his 11th consecutive match against Blackman, while Stedman holds a narrow lead over alternative, and Hakon and Crampton are neck and neck in a thriller.

Campbell's Chunky takes you around the tables once again...

A thrilled audience of half a dozen watched one of the finest games of the warmup period, as Fuller played Borcich in two consecutive frames. The first was a one-sided affair that Fuller took out by 50 points, but the second went to the wire. After a long, evenly matched frame, a series of snookers forced fouls from both players. Borcich was eventually left with the pink and black to win, trailing by 2 points. He dutifully potted the easy tap-in for the pink, but when it came to the black he couldn't handle the pressure, and missed an easy shot. Fuller completed the black pot to take the frame 51-48.

Pasag was watching from the stands, and was quoted as saying "holy **** what an awesome frame!", before kissing and hugging all nearby spectators like the liberal-minded hippie that he is.

In other games, Murphy put alternative to the sword in a one-sided display, while Hakon also beat him twice, once through a time out disqualification and the other time with some impressive all-round snooker. Dave Richards turned around his poor form with a 55-39 win over Stedman, a confidence booster as he gears up for his match with the unseen Matt Pitt.
