I have nothing but the purest love in my heart for Brian Charles, so will keep voting until he's in & Ranji's dominance over his peers is really quite an eye-opener. Test averages from the 1890s.

Urge people to check Ranji's figures too, he should be getting more votes than he is IMHO.

In Victor Trumper's profile on cricinfo (lifted from Wisden) it says "Trumper at the zenith of his fame challenged comparison with Ranjitsinhji.", suggesting that just to get close to Ranji was a mark of batting greatness.
