Reckon we could get him on the podcast?Unsurprising. Kimber's stolen some of our memes before so I'm pretty sure he's a lurker.
Reckon we could get him on the podcast?
Peter Miller has already told me he would be willing to come on, so Jarrod, if you're reading, hit me up.
RussiaWas just browsing some Bangladesh players' cricinfo profiles - how was Rubel Hossain allowed to play 24 tests as a bowler whilst averaging 70-80 nearly all the time?

Yeh, the 87 side would probably get beaten now but they were setting standards back then. The game has changed a lot, but the general plan was Swampy would anchor the innings while Boon hit out a bit, and they'd set a platform for Jones (who at that point was probably the best ODI batsman around). Obviously Border was good, and Veletta was handy in ODIs. Waugh and O'Donnell were both genuine allrounders at that point. O'Donnell has been forgotten a bit but he was a very very good ODI cricketer, great hitter and good bowler, and this was the era when Waugh was the death bowler known as the iceman. And as you say, Reid and McDermott were a pretty potent pace attack. May and Dyer rounded the team out, and while they weren't spectacular they were pretty solid performers.Yeah I think so. That 87 side set a real standard for ODIs at that time. Boon and Marsh were a gun opening pair in that format, the middle order had Jones and TOTAB, as well as S Waugh and O'Donnell. McDermott and Reid led the attack. Was a handy side tbh.

He was like Harris in that if he was fit, he played and was the best bowler in the side.Wasn't Reid injured more often than not though?
