Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

It's a nothing story. Someone would have gone out and asked Sachin that question and he's juts replied in an honest way. It's not really controversial or particularly interesting tbh. They must have been really struggling for news.

For some reason my biggest memory from that game was Ganguly trying to claim a slip catch that bounced a foot in front of him and Hayden just bert-staring him like "what the **** are you doing"
why are there not more people using this

Zaheer's performance in that game was maybe the most hilariously bad effort by a topflight opening bowler in a big LO game. Genuinely hilarious.
Ganguly made a blunder by choosing to bowl first. The batsmen were more experienced. The moment he selected to bowl, I said that we had lost the match.

Yeah and he made up for it by bowling tight overs 8 overs later in the other final he played in. But yeah it was terrible stuff back then.

Which of Australia's great victorious World Cup winning sides that won the World Cup do you think was the best out of all the great teams?

Weaker than 87?
Yeah I think so. That 87 side set a real standard for ODIs at that time. Boon and Marsh were a gun opening pair in that format, the middle order had Jones and TOTAB, as well as S Waugh and O'Donnell. McDermott and Reid led the attack. Was a handy side tbh.

There's a few "Filthy McNasty's" pubs around.

I wonder which country they think Rodney Ontong played for? Maybe they're confusing him with Justin?

Luckily they will have much larger FC standard grounds to play on compared to the 40m boundaries at the little sai wan or mong kok or whatever

Have you seen the boundary at Edgbaston for tonight's practice game? It's 40m to one side. Will be pretty funny.

I see what you mean. The 1987 side is not one you will back over a series against any of the other sides who made the semis. The 1999 side, same case. The 2003 ones were great and easily the best side in that comp. but the 2007 side was just something else. I will still back them over the 2003 side. And 2015 again, you got the feeling that if the WC was not in Australia, they may not have won. I will go 2007 > 2003 >> 2015/1999 > 1987.
You wouldn't back Australias 1999 side in a series against the others? Have you looked at who was in that team? You don't think they could touch up NZ?
