Has to be the Mohammads but your tally is wrong , I suspect because you have not considered Shoaib (Hanif's son) .

Question

Which famous cricket book starts with the following paragraph ?

"Our house was superbly situated, exactly behind the wicket. A huge tree on one side and another house on the other limited the view of the ground, but an umpire could have stood at the bedroom window. By standing on a chair a small boy of six could watch practice every afternoon and matches on Saturdays. From the chair also he could mount on to the window-sill and so stretch a groping hand for the books on top of the wardrobe. Thus early the pattern of my life was set."

What famous book is this from:

A man who is essentially stupid will not make a fine Cricketer.... A short sighted person is as unfit to become a cricketer, as one deaf would be to discriminate the most delicate gradations and varieties in tone.

The Art of Captaincy, Brears-o?

? Cardus on Cricket or any other book by Sir Neville Cardus

No, to both.

Clue: This was considered to be the first great Cricket book, and is still consider one of the 3 or 4 best. :)
