Wow…
Yeah also Sachin is bad vs medium pace but good vs extreme pace and spinTwo guys with some problems with pace, but Ponting destroys express pacers which Lara didn't do well as that's well documented even from Michael Holding, while Lara destroys medium pacers and Ponting has struggled against a decent amount of medium pacers who rely on sideways movement. so this isn't just about Donald/Akhtar or about Anderson/McGrath type bowlers but about pace bowling as a whole.
The best test batsman against extreme pace is obviously Virat Kohli, Never seen him getting out against bouncers, Yorkers etcYeah also Sachin is bad vs medium pace but good vs extreme pace and spin
That's because bouncers and Yorkers are options bowlers go to when plan A isn't working and against Kohli it usually does. The best test batsman against extreme pace is obviously Virat Kohli, Never seen him getting out against bouncers, Yorkers etc
ABD is better. The best test batsman against extreme pace is obviously Virat Kohli, Never seen him getting out against bouncers, Yorkers etc

There are only 8 batters with RPM>90 (two of them will most likely get out of the list in the future)What people fail to appreciate is the actual runs Lara scored (not his average) is pretty decent. Chanderpaul for example averages 51 but actually scored 42 runs per innings. Lara averaged 52.89 but actually scored 51.5 runs per innings.
Isn’t runs per innings better? Do you have a list? There are only 8 batters with RPM>90 (two of them will most likely get out of the list in the future)
Don Bradman= 134.54
George Headley= 99.545
Graeme Pollock= 98.086
Harry Brook= 95

Someone had a post about this very thing the other day, I'll see if I can find it.Isn’t runs per innings better? Do you have a list?
50+ RPI (Qualification:- 1100+ runs):-Isn’t runs per innings better? Do you have a list?
That can't be accurate for Sobers. He scored 8032 runs and played in 160 innings therefore: 8032÷160= 50.2. Am I missing something?50+ RPI (Qualification:- 1100+ runs):-
Don Bradman= 87.25
Harry Brook= 57.03
Garfield Sobers= 56.45
Graeme Pollock= 55.02
Everton Weekes= 55
George Headley= 54.75
Herbert Sutcliffe= 54.23
Kumar Sangakkara= 53.21
Jack Hobbs= 53.04
Ken Barrington= 51.95
Wally Hammond= 51.77
Brian Lara= 51.52
Clyde Walcott= 51.32

Runs per innings and wickets per innings are better measures imo (though not perfect themselves ofc)Isn’t runs per innings better? Do you have a list?
Yeah you're right. Thanks. That can't be accurate for Sobers. He scored 8032 runs and played in 160 innings therefore: 8032÷160= 50.2. Am I missing something?
You also mixed up Bradman’s numberYeah you're right. Thanks.
Best batsman against extreme pace -That's because bouncers and Yorkers are options bowlers go to when plan A isn't working and against Kohli it usually does.
Did Lara followed this pattern to maintain 50+ rpi ?Runs per innings and wickets per innings are better measures imo (though not perfect themselves ofc)
