Brad Hogg as a test match option

dwta is disagree with the above, not don't want to argue.

I'd actually argue things with you if there was a point to it, but there isn't. It's like arguing with a brick wall. Even Fiery has given a little ground on the whole Watson feud, but there's no chance you'll ever give ground on anything so I cbf wasting my time on you.
The difference between me and Fiery is that he's more impulsive than me, and therefore requires to give ground more. I do give ground (you've probably not seen any instances of such a thing because you, I presume, don't read every single one of my posts) but not all that often. I listen, but I don't change my opinion unless I see good reason. Matt here, for example, has failed to convince me, and I'd guess I've failed to convince him. But neither of us have a problem with the fact that each other's viewpoint is taken.

pfft, what a crock, you're just stubborn and have never liked to admit you're wrong Rich

(that's not an admission I'm wrong about Watson btw)

Haha, a crock. :wheelchai

No, I don't admit I'm wrong readily. Doesn't change the fact that I am sometimes, and if I am I do admit it.

Not really. I don't admit I'm wrong all that often (because IMO I'm not...) but if I think I am wrong, I do admit it.

I am one of those who had always been sceptical of Hogg as a world class bowler. But watching him bowl at the world cup was a revelation. He seems a complete bowler now. Flights the ball beautifully , has a lovely loop, one of the best disguised wrong ones, a very effective straighter one and bowls an excellent line and length.

If he is capable of bowling like this in test matches, he would be a permanent fixture in any test side in the world.

IMO it is quite impossible to think you are wrong. If you don't believe something, then it is no longer your opinion and hence what you see is wrong is no longer what you think. Believing you were wrong is a different matter altogether of course.

Hahahahahahahaha.

Damn right, of course. It's a complicated thing, this changing-your-opinion business.

The "the rules say we must come back tomorrow and play three overs, so despite commonsense that's what we'll do" (even though the rules didn't say that) thing...

The Koertzen award has to be for the poster who best personifies the Rudi "whoa, I've forgotten to take my pills, where am I and who are you people" vibe...

SAfrican-Frenchman Of The Week, would be the only thing that could be The Rudi, TBH.
