I had completely underrated Ryan Garcia.

The commentary was also extremely biased towards Haney.

It was weird, Garcia at times seemed like he could completely outbox Haney from range when he wanted to, whicj was unbelievable to me. I couldn't quite believe how easily Garcia could land the chopping right hand from range, almost at will.

Obviously 3 lbs overweight is certainly a big advantage.

It's funny because you could see Teofimo absolutely destroying these guys on a good day too...and then he could have a bad day. All very mercurial.

Everything about the fight was strange

Nobody thought he deserved it but Haney chose Garcia because he thought he was an easy touch

Garcia has a meltdown in training camp

Garcia misses weight but Haney says **** it and still fights

WBC says **** it & Haney will retain titles irrespective of result

Defensive specialist Haney made to look like a face first fighter

Now Haney is damaged goods but still champion

What's crazy is dominating the fight like that when half the time you're doing that stupid ineffectual shoulder roll and another 3rd of the fight you're dancing around the ring for fun. I mean really it felt like he could have stopped him at any time if he just stopped screwing around.

The commentary and referee were all clearly on Haney's side yet anyone with eyes could see that Garcia was pretty much toying with him.

One of the most shocking fights I've watched over the last 10 years in terms of my expectations going in.

Have only seen the highlights

Haney was wide open for the left hand for a long time before Garcia even threw it for the first knockdown

The co-main event was a bore, but an insane robbery imo.

I wonder did McComb do himself any favors with the Palestine shorts :euro:

Lol Garcia is the gift that keeps on giving.

"I don't even know what ostarine is! I've never even heard of it."

2 minutes later.

"Also if I'd been on it I would've made 140 because it helps with losing weight!"

Inoue is the best pure offensive boxer I have ever seen.

Surgical punch placement and power in both hands and an athletic advantage I don't think we've seen since Roy Jones Junior.

Ultimately, when he slips a bit due to age or going up weight divisions (he is already arguably undersized at 122) the end of his career may be just as brutal as Roy Jones. His athleticism and dominant offense lets him be kinda lax on defense at times. He did kinda fix those errors e.g. after Donaire 1, but they still creep back in every now and again.

Gvosdyk vs Benevidez is a banger fight. If Gvosdyk is anything close to what he used to be then I think it'd be worth putting some money on him.

I mean, I didn't see the fight, but if it was close it does start to look like the announcer is taking the Mickey Bliss.

FTR though the BBC had Johnson down as the fairly comfortable winner.

Credit to George, he's probably made some good money and the Theo scalp has aged very well, but he's done when it comes to getting the big fights.

Anyway its here!

excellent co-main event, Cordina v Cacace will be a good solid UK fight, Kovalev  , some Fury mates and Kabayal v Sanchez is a very interesting fight to gauge how good the latter is.
Nonetheless all eyes on the main event and bookies have it 50/50 ,,,I am leaning towards Usyk but their is more money for the Saudis in Fury winning so who knows.

Usyk is inactive, but I do think his wins over Joshua and even Dubois are more impressive than anything Fury has done over the last few years,,,,

People still talk about how tricky he found Dubois, he was in relative control until the low blow and he won without a sweat in the end, were people expecting him to spark him out in the 1st few rounds or something?

I enjoyed the Wilder fights but were either of those 2 wins more impressive than beating Joshua ? Nah.

On beating Chisora, Whyte and big Frank LOL.....handling Dubois a more impressive achievement tbh.

Maybe father time catches up with Usyk, or we get poor scoring, but not sure Fury has the weapons to win.

I fully expect Fury to win in Round 2 after 4 knockdowns now. :sadangel:
