Huh. Well that was pretty conclusive.

Hope Bakole got a wheelbarrow full of money, because that was the perfect advertisement for not taking a fight at 48 hours' notice.

That was really weird. Parker looked like he was getting touched up by Bakole's body work and almost looked like he was getting desperate before landing that shot.

Kabayel is the real boogieman of the division IMO. No one wants that smoke.

You can understand the corner throwing in the towel at the first sign of trouble. Bakole's probably barely slept in the last 24 hours.

Parker looked slow as ****, this extra weight he's carrying is a terrible idea against anyone who hasn't just rolled off the couch.

That was such a great fight btw. Waaaay better than anything else on the card. The difference in levels was crazy, going from fat Joe Parker and fat Martin Bakole to shredded, technically perfect murderous Beterbiev and light, nimble, jab of the gods Bivol.

Objectively, you would think that Parker winning with a second round KO would be quite dramatic and fun but instead it was just a massive anti-climax. Both guys looked insanely vulnerable. If Parker had put a beating on and then got the KO it might have been respectable. Meh.

Usyk is 8 years post his prime and has ran through this division and I still can't see anyone except maybe Kabayel beating him.

Predictions:
- Beterbiev vs Bivol rematch.
think Beterbiev will be aware that he needs more activity. I don't know if there is much more Bivol can do, but there are adjustments that Beterbiev could make. Will go with the old man here.
- Dubois vs Parker.
This is all about punch output. Parker has averaged 25 punches per round in his last 2 fights. Dubois has averaged 45. Unless somehow Parker has gained Zhang type power, I really don't see how he keeps Dubois off him. He's not really a slick defensive fighter and his back foot game is prone to many defensive mistakes.
Think this will be a career ending knockout. This could be brutal IMO.
- Zhang vs Kabayel
Kabayel is a younger, fitter, more hungry version of what Parker was. I think he can weather Zhang's early power and I suspect that he will stop him late.
- Ortiz Jr vs Israel Madrimov
I think Madrimov will school and possibly stop Ortiz Jr. I think they have bitten off more than they can chew here.
- Callum Smith vs Joshua Buatsi.
I'm not particularly a fan of either guy. But Buatsi should beat Smith if he is anything approaching world level. The Smith brothers are some of the luckiest people ever with the paydays they have received
- Obvious Stevenson will win his fight in boring fashion
- Sheeraz probably murders Adames

Not digging you out as I agreed with pretty much all the calls.

The obvious thing we all missed , was maybe Sheeraz is still a little raw and Adames is pretty good. Sheeraz very fortunate not to lose that.

Shakur scored 3 knockdowns and the fight somehow was still tedious LOL.

Bookies were right having Ortiz slight fav, although I think the money came for Madrimov close enough to the fight.

Yeah Ortiz was much better than I expected.

Hamzah Sheeraz just doesn't appear to have a second gear. Like, it's all well and good sticking out a long jab and making guys walk onto your punches, but he appears to have no ability to actually put pressure on someone.

The big shock for me was the method in which Kabayel destroyed Zhang. I had picked Kabayel to beat Zhang handily even by stoppage, but I didn't think he'd be able to do it by just standing right in front of him and beating him up on the inside.

I can't think of many fighters I'd pick to just stand right in front of Zhang and beat him up like that.

It means Kabayel is an extremely versatile fighter, skilled in both the inside and outside, back foot and front foot with a great gas tank. It's pretty impressive IMO.
