BIGGEST JERKS !!

All those involved with match fixing : Banned or not.

All those guilty of ball tampering : caught or not.

All those who throw : medically justified or not.

All those who hurl racist abuse at fellow players/crowds etc : punished or not

All those bowlers who show no inclination to step aside even when they realise they are standing in the way of a running batsman : Australians or others.

All those spectators who hurl objects at players : Indians or others

All those who cant applaud/appreciate a great piece of cricket just because it was at the cost of their own teams : subcontinental or others

All those who drop/chose players for the colour of their skin : Zimbaweans or British

I'm quite sure we've dropped players because of their skin colour as a political expedient in the past (D'Olivera obviously springs to mind), but recently?

Do you have a particular incident in mind?

No not recently. But in keeping with the way I ended all sentences, I wanted to put some team who had done it (Zimbabweans and....) and England had :D

Fair enough. :)

The D'Olivera affair was pretty odious. Would've been nice to think the ECB learned something from the MCC's mistakes. Sadly appears not...

Maybe South Africa would have been better, they used a racial quota in selection not too long ago.
It wasnt a racial quota of the Cricket Board. It was a state policy. It is still terrible but the cricket board was not totally at liberty to do as they pleased.

Hansie Cronje - Wrong to speak ill of the dead, but his actions have placed an indelible stain on the game.
certainly wouldnt call him a jerk, personally i think about half the cricketers playing were involved in match-fixing at the time, cronje was one of the few who actually admitted it.

SO !

Anyone who is caught taking drugs AND THEN admits to doing it..is not a a junkie since there are many others taking it and not admitting !!

Extend logic to all forms of crooks, deviants ad infinitum :p :p

oh he took money what for one series? IMO certain players have been doing that for most of their careers. he gets the book thrown at him for admitting it, when so many other people have gotten away with it.

And in India we have a prime minister who took bribes only once (at least the record says only once)

In America we had a President who lied to the nation only on one burgulry/breakin committed at his behest(at least the record says so)

In Pakistan we had a nuclear scietist who sold state secrets only to one nation (at least thats what Musharraf says)

In USA we had a President who played 'me, cigar and you' only with only one intern (at least thats what we know of)

In Germany we had a leader who tried to annihilate only one community (so I think !!)

In Mohamad Atta we had a terrorist who bombed only one building (I am sure of that) and may have confessed had it been possible :@

I think you have a solid point....and logic !!!

If I recall correctly he only admitted it because he was recorded on tape conspiring to, er, affect the outcome of matches. When the allegations first surfaced he was vehement in his denial.

So I guess we can add fibbing to his sins...

and i never said he should be forgiven, or that he didnt make a major mistake.im looking at it in context, strangely no one has mentioned either gavaskar or akram, both of whom IMO are amongst the biggest match fixers perhaps ever. strangely enough they get away easily, while people like cronje who made one mistake and admitted it, are called jerks.

if i remember correctly they found a large sum of money in gavaskars locker not long ago. gavaskar is often said to be the man who started it all in the 80s.
