Phew...
With 8 needed for victory, Drench and Parr were out in consecutive balls (giving Eagles 6 wickets), leaving me 7 down after a 161 run partnership between Nomvete (71 off 111) and Griffin. But then Giles (number 9) hits the next ball for six, and Griffin hits a four off the second ball of the next over to win the game in the 48th over. Was a pretty close match, especially after the start my batsmen had (4/47). It's good having Nomvete batting down the order, as his stamina means he can hang around for a long time if something goes wrong, like it did today. Griffin made up for some recent low scores with his 104* off 119.

The Conquerors 227 (46.3)
Harrison 57* (74), Flahaven 45 (62), Lewington 40 (58)
Tedstone 4/41 (10), Erasmus 3/43 (10), Dunne 2/39 (8.3)

Magical Ponies 7/230 (47.2)
Griffin 104* (119), Nomvete 71 (111), Sutton 17 (17)
Eagles 6/58 (9), Carmody 1/36 (8.2)

Im only training him in 2 bowling, 1 batting and 1 stamina at the moment. Hes due to hit proficient bowling in 1-2 weeks and competent batting in 5 weeks.

I'd forgotten to take Verde off bowling - 8-3-7-6 :D

The debutants having differing games - think I'll just net them mostly this season.

Boggles beat Jamees 999ers by 8 wickets.

And that's the end of the match. Boggles won by 8 wickets.
Jamees 999ers 94-10
Boggles 95-2

Disgusted.

Bardle bowled well, getting 2 in an over, but I had no idea that Aldred, who was rested, was that important.

Ah well, onwards, Aldred should slot in at 4 on Friday, and maybe, just maybe, Bardle will go strong.

Westhead and Verde looking the leaders in the Player of the Week stakes right now. Out of interest, who are you playing, Marc?
