Battle of the Wrestlers

BARNES OUT
Will give a pity vote to Goldberg, though if it was close I'd vote for Taker.

Goldberg gave me plenty of good memories when I was younger. Hair used to stand up on the back of my neck everytime the music played and he'd stroll out from his locker room. Was cool. Taker is better and has done more, and deserves to go through. Childhood nostalgia playing its part here.

Closing this one early out of sympathy for Goldberg. 7-1, 'Taker wins.

Round 3, Battle 3:

Weighing in at five hundred pounds, from Grenoble, France.....'Andre the Giant'!

And his opponent, weighing two hundred and twenty five pounds, from Chicago, Illinois.....'The Straightedge Superstar', CM Punk!

Gonna give a sympathy vote to Punk first up - he probably won't go through, but he's got a massive future and I mark out for him big time. Andre was a legend, but was never that entertaining to watch.

Ooh, André edges out Punk in a surprisingly close one. Next battle coming up.

Weighing in at two hundred and thirty four pounds, from Greenwich, Connecticut.....'Shane O'Mac', Shane McMahon!

And his opponent, weighing in at two hundred and sixty pounds, from Greenwich, Connecticut.....'The Cerebral Assassin', 'The King of Kings', 'The Game', Triple H!

Triple H for me, not even close. Shane is great n'all, but The Game is one of the very best. He might love burying guys who don't deserve it, but there's absolutely no denying that he deserves his place as one of the modern greats.
