I suspect Brearley to be a bit overrated, but I don't think Bradman to have been much of a captain at all. & it's stating the obvious to say that any team with him in has an almost unfair advantage at the outset! IIRC 32/33 was the only rubber Oz lost that he featured in after his debut series.

Can't rewrite history, but I do wonder how the 30s Ashes series may've gone had the MCC not hurried DRJ into a premature retirement.
