Gibbs. Was looking for a reason to pick Srinath's but Gibbs got the likes of Sardesai, Manjrekar, Umrigar, Pataudi, Borde, nadkarni, Engineer and Durrani all pretty good to decent bat against spin.

Willis for me. The performances are fairly comparable, in that they are 4th innings spells defending a chasable total and knocked over the opposition for the win. As with the McGrath/Ambrose one though, I'll go for the one that had more wickets, more of the top order and less key support. Imran took the first two wickets in the Qadir match, and 3 of the first 5, and Qadir capitalised on the shocking start that the West Indies had. Plus obviously, the Willis effort was a key part in a remarkable comeback, and there was perhaps more pressure on him to perform well, given what Botham had done before him.

This is a spell that could go all the way in this competition, I think.

Qadir. Bowling to a better lineup, only reason he didn't take more wicket was because Imran was on fire from the other end.

Willis - His role in that historic match is often ignored because batsmen get all the glory. His figures are easily equal to the acheivements of Botham in that match. Another tough match-up though, 6-16 is hardly poor.
