However, Jayasuriya played a large part in shaping the one-day game into what it is today. 12 years ago, 200 would have been considered a testing target for 50 overs.

I based my vote for Jayasurya based on international cricket. If it's only supposed to be for Tests, then Amarnath for me as well.

Err...which is it? It's 'battle of the subcontinent', so vote with whatever criteria you prefer. Some people may rate ODI's highly and vote based on that, whereas others might ignore the ODI stats. It's upto you. I only quote Test stats because, well, I don't really feel like retyping the entire cricinfo page, which you can get to by clicking on it anyway . And the fact that I don't really put much stock into ODI stats.
