Yes, I know.

But take out that one great series and his figures though good, are not great.

Especially when you consider the wickets he was playing on - generally very helpful.

Don't get me wrong, I rate Laker and think he was very good, if just a tad overated.

His average excluding that phenomenal series is still better than Warne's career average.

Yes, I know.

But, iirc, his wkts/test ratio is ordinary and his sr is nothing to write home about either.

Laker makes it through to the semi, i'll keep the QFs 48 hours from now on, due to the holiday season and hopefully they will be the closer.

The next battle will be up in a couple mins when i track down some ODIs stats
