Natman20

International Debutant
Can't say ive ever heard of Ranji before but he must be pretty good to be beating Hadlee on here

BTW - The Hadlee link leads to Waqar Younis again

Round of 32, Battle 15

We shall define a legend of cricket on the basis of the following criteria:

- An influential figure who made a significant impact on the way the game is played on the field.
- An influential figure who remained involved in and made significant contributions to the game off the field.
- A hero or an icon who served as an inspiration for others (cricketers as well as the general public) and will be remembered for years to come.
- Remember that a legend is defined not merely by cricket records but also by aura, impact and legacy.

Battle 15

Sarfraz Nawaz (fast bowler, pioneer of reverse swing)

versus

Waqar Younis (fast bowler, master of reverse swing (yorker in particular), best strike rate (200+ wickets), later bowling coach)

This battle will close after 12 hours (or earlier if it's a no contest IMO) with a lead of at least 5. Otherwise, it will close after 24 hours.

Ranji has now knocked out 2 of my favorite pacers of all-time in Imran and Hadlee. And both are bigger legends IMHO.

Let's pretend that never happened. Delete quick.
Hmmm, Ranji developed parts of the game which had never been used before. He almost defines "legend" in my book. Hadlee and Imran were probably better cricketers, but we've had other polls to define that.

Anywhoo Waqar

FRAZ

International Captain
Waqar off course was a great bowler and was even better than Sarfraz but Sarfraz and me almost have the same comments . I like Sarfraz's honest and straight from the heart opinions about Pak cricket . He also lived near my home and he married the actress Rani (R.I.P) . Sarfraz also tried for the National Assembly seat .
I mean we share almost the same kind of views so SARFRAZ !!!!!!
