Battle of the CricketWeb Selectors

Pratters

Cricket, Lovely Cricket
This thread has a lot of potential.

The three people nominated should make selections before actual international matches.

Then matches should be simmed using a simulator.

The board (comprising of other selectors as I can think of no other way of doing it) could pass a motion for removal of a specific selector if they think he is not upto the mark and a majority (2/3 or 1 more than half of the quorum) would lead to his expulsion and then voting in of a new person into the selection panel.

Arjun - for knowing the most about domestic cricket and having out-of-the-box thinking
honestbharani - for being a balanced fan with both realistic and idealistic thought
SJS - for being the craftiest writer on CW .. we need someone like that to trick the fans into believing we've made the perfect selections each and every time

Reserve: myself, havent been on here long enough to steal a spot from the aforementioned

In case this group gets too peaceful and constructive for an Indian panel, bring in Sanz & get him fired up :)

actually i cant resist this chance of being a make-believe selector. i'll make myself a regular and make SJS the panel's head journalist/secretary/mediaperson.

I nominate Chubb, for Zimbabwe.

I know he already nominated himself, but Im not sure if that actually counts under the rules, so Im re-enforcing it.

Then again, will Zimbabwe actually play another game of cricket? Only time will tell.

I might have a very little chance to get in as an Indian selector, as I am relatively new out here. I registered in Oct 2005, and for the last 3 months, i have only been a lurker out here. It was only recently that I started posting. Also, i had my B.Tech exams on in December, so that prevented me from posting till few days back.

I can get in as an Indian selector as a reserve if one of the slots are empty or maybe I should try it out as a Pakistan/Sri Lanka/Bangladesh selector considering that I have followed Asian cricket a lot in general including their domestic cricket and under-age cricket.

Dont know too much about the members out here, but still the possible selectors -

India - Arjun, Honestbharani, SJS(Do not know too much about Master Blaster, but I have a feeling that he is a huge fan of Sachin Tendulkar)

Pakistan - Beleg, Me(Is it possible for an Indian to be a Pakistani selector?)

Bangladesh - James90, Jungle Jumbo(Are these people really Bangladeshis?)
