I had a look at this, and I've kinda made a team, all of the last 8 are in(normal font),the last 4 are in(Bold), and the selected Round of 16-ers to make an 11 are in(italics)marc71178 said:Sobers.
Can you imagine those as a middle order in a Test side though? Scary if you're bowling!
That's not too far off my all-time world XI either. I'd bring Gilchrist in for Flower, and Greg Chappell in for Brian Lara, and I think I'd be inclined to maybe drop Richards for another seamer on occasion, but it's certainly a very good team.Jamee999 said:I had a look at this, and I've kinda made a team, all of the last 8 are in(normal font),the last 4 are in(Bold), and the selected Round of 16-ers to make an 11 are in(italics)

BC Lara
IVA Richards
GS Sobers
A Flower
Imran Khan
SK Warne
M Muralitharan
GD McGrath
That lineup scares me.
On a spinning wicket, you've got Warne, Murali and Sobers, a devastating attack.
On a seaming pitch, you have Imran, McGrath and Sobers to utilise.
Anyhow, back to the voting.
Not personally, no. Marshall was a great bowler, but I rate a couple ahead of him. I would however have Richard Hadlee in my team, ahead of either McGrath or Imran.Jono said:Whilst its obviously subjective, you wouldn't have Marshall in your all-time world XI Faaip?
After your derision about voting with heart over head, you're voting for Lara over Sobers?a massive zebra said:Lara
