This is tough. Im going to base my decision on a random stat. Ill look at who did best in their FC games during their England tours. It has its faults, but opens up a wider body of work and is as good as anyother tiebreaker.

Bit of a mare draw for all concerned. Tiger is often spoken of as the best ever; I know Bradman rated him higher than Sydney Barnes as he possessed a googly which Barnes didn't. I think SFB's response was something like "I never needed one".

On balance I'll go for Lindwall because, as others have observed, his lower-middle batting was distinctly useful & his bowling was certainly comparable.

I am voting Orielly ...more than a bit influenced by the Don's considering him close to being the greatest bowler ever.

Cant argue with conviction that I know more about these things than Don. I didnt even see these guys
