Tough draw for Turner, who was always likely to (unfairly) struggle due to how long ago he played anyway. The Terror was a great bowler by all accounts and even when you adjust his stats for the era he played in, they're pretty impressive.

That said, Warne probably will (and should) win this whole thing as the best Aussie, bar Bradman, and my vote reflects that:

If Id have been choosing, Mallett would not have made the original list, so I guess it goes to McDonald

tight McDonald has they say in the days without helmets was Australia's counter to the likes of Hall, Adcock, Heine, Trueman & Statham. While Mallett is probably the best off-spinner Australia has produced.

I'll give it to Mallett slightly.

I'll go Mallett. I always have a bit of a soft spot for offies & he did produce some pretty useful performances when conditions assisted.
