Was gonna vote for "Thing" (ie Jack Iverson's pictured spinning hand) but in the end went for Simmo, just, from Boony.

Edit: have changed my vote, upon reflection, to the above.

Have to go for Boon. Hard to see me voting against him at all in this thing tbh.

David Clarence Boon.

I'm the same as Ed, Very hard for me to vote against him. That's a brilliant picture of the man too.

Simpson unlucky, especially if you factor in his coaching.

Bobby Simpson just over David Boon as although they were roughly equal at batting, Simpson was a better bowler, better fieldsman, better captain and better coach.

Iverson was certainly a good spinner, but his lack of test experience, batting ability and fielding ability as well as his lack of ability in coping against batsman who were either charging him or batting outside of their crease means that he is not up to the standards of the other two.

Almost tempted to go for Iverson because his is one of the most genuinely fascinating stories in cricket. I'm going for Simpson tho because, as a cricketer, I think you'd probably take him over Boonie most times. Like the romance of his comeback as a 42-year-old too; the old champ coaxed back into the ring because his country needs him.

Bobby Simpson for his batting as well for his absolutely fantastic slip fielding. He is also one of the finest students of the game and one loves to read every syllable of what he writes.

Simmo's still coaching the Parramatta grade cricket side. You should see the fielding drills they do - unbelieveable. The guy;s a sadist when it comes to those things.

all special cricketers. but the race has to be between boonie and simpson as reliable bats and spectacular catchers. bob simpson it should be for his over all contribution to cricket as captain and coach.

Ouch, that's a smeller.

Lillee, because Healy has been outdone slightly more by Gilchrist than Lillie is by McGrath. (Indeed, even that is doubtful.)
