Tbf though, FC records can be used to make Ajay Gupta look like one of the finest batsman of all time too. If you are referring to him topping the FC averages for a number of years that is.
My view is that Larwood was definitely a bowler of exceptional ability, and at his best was one of the finest of all time, but his best lasted for a very short amount of time. Also, In my opinion of course, a bowler like say, John Snow with his unerring accuracy and aggression could have utilized body line just as well as Larwood. Not to say, John Snow wasn't a bloody fine bowler though.
