Faulkner into the squad. Aus and England effectively don't have good fast bowling stocks anymore do they?

Disappointing but it does highlight that adding him to the Ashes squad was a bit premature.

I think the thing with Cummins is gonna be: if he's fit, you pick him in any format. Regardless of how many matches or how little FC cricket he's played.

Obviously behind the scenes his injuries will be managed really well, but if he's fit, he plays.

The problem will be if these injuries make him lose his pace. Hopefully they won't because he's a great strike bowler and there's nothing better than watching a seriously quick bowler rip thru the opposition.

It's incredible to think the only test he played where he ripped thru a strong SA line up was nearly 4 years ago. And that in spite of taking 7 wickets in his debut test 4 years ago, he's still only played 8 FC matches. And that he's still only 22!

Not matchfit, available for selection and suited to Bangladesh, no we don't have many. Ask us again in 2 months.

Yeah, say what you like about Cummins, but he was reaching silly pace in those one dayers. If he can get a couple of injury free years he can go as far as his body will let him in the game.

I don't think we need the rocket, but please CA just let the kid get a season of Shield under his belt before you go picking him for Aus (in any form really) again.

James Pattinson played in all of the one day games against England so yeah not sure how you missed that one.
Paid about as much attention to the One Day series as I do to painting your chicken coop.

Didn't see his name in the Test squad for Bangladesh so was wondering where he's at.

Edit: he played in two of the ODIs and didn't take a wicket, looked expensive. Out of sorts?

He's really not much of a LO bowler tbh. Very attacking and doesn't really suit the format IMO.

He's also basically remodelled his action as a result of the injuries he's had. He's still fast but he's probably very much a work in progress right now.

I don't think it will take too long for Patto to be banging down the door. Fast, full and swings it. Will be a near cert soon enough. Bird is still handy, but Haze and PSiddy are in front for that role.

As everyone said, Patto a pretty rubbish white-ball bowler tbh -- especially in ODIs. Left out of the Bangladesh squad because the selectors are building up his workload, or something. I'd expect him to be back playing (or thereabouts) for the home summer, injury permitting.

Bird has had a pretty torrid time with injury as well. Played for Hampshire in parts this year, but picked up something there iirc.

re. Pattinson, seems a lot of people ignoring the fact (was mentioned by one person) that his primary issue (by far and away what's affecting him the most) is his new action. He's not as controlled and has lost a lot of his swing. Probably not as quick either. That's what's happened.

But Faulkner, he's in!
His likelihood of playing is unsure though. Can he drive a car in Bangladesh?
do they even have cars in Bangadesh?

Can he drive a rikshaw?
