Australian test selection 2019-2020

I feel like selectors cant really get much wrong for now.

There are like 8/9 locks and the available spots arent obvious.

In saying that, I dont feel like Pucovski has done enough to displace Head and its not as though William Jan is that big a youth pick since TravHead is still just 25.

So for me there are actually 10 locks, just Warners opening partner is a crapshoot.

Two most contentious spots are the ones I've given to Harris & Head. Personally I think I'd take Khawaja (or Renshaw if he's made any runs) and Patterson (unavail) or Pukovski.

I'd like to see Pukovski play but it's justifiable to leave him out.

There's a reason Doolan's FC average matches his age (33). Henriques a much better option as only 32 with a 34 FC average

Remembering the mid 1980's when Australia chopped and changed batsmen at will when they had a bad game. Then they realised all this fear of being dropped was the biggest problem and decided to stick with players regardless - David Boon and Steve Waugh were two such players to have security of position and Border then established the basis for a decade of domination by Australia.

Fast forward to 2019 and all this 'bat-off' crap in the game before the Ashes and now this one vs Pak and we wonder why our batsmen are failing or having mental health issues. The pressure on one innings must be enormous for these batsmen.
