A good nine, only just an 8.Hastings is an allrounder? Or a bowler who can bat?

Yeah I'm surprised they're even playing both of Starc and Hazlewood in the middle of 2 Test series. They must really be worried about ratings? Was pretty good from what I recall of him as a bowler in IPL. Thought ll be a lock in for ODIs esp since ur selectors seem to wanna rotate the test bowlers in ODIs.
That's the actual fourteen selected there. Can Khawaja find a place in the ODI XI?
Reckon Hastings is a better ODI bowler than most of the change bowlers they've picked tbh. You'd obviously want to play Starc in the ODIs if he's right, but I thought they might've given Hazelwood a break for this series.
But I guess if they want Cummins back around the set up, and they have Starc and Haze, then Faulkner and MMarsh both in the team as well, plus Maxwell and possibly Zampa, Hastings isn't required.
Thought Khawaja left the ball very well in his innings.Chris Rogers was interesting talking about the two new batsmen - Renshaw getting his head in line with off stump so that he can know when to leave as many balls as possible, having to get through the new ball at the Gabba. While there's a lot of reverse swing in Melbourne, and so Handscomb tries to ensure that he's in a good position to play in front of his front leg, protecting the LBW.
Think Renshaw in that respect is also aided with his front foot movement. Even though its a bit shoddy, his front foot always comes down across in front of the off stump as well to align himself. Anything super wide gets hammered with a clean swing and anything over the wicket in line with that pad or leg side gets mauled.Chris Rogers was interesting talking about the two new batsmen - Renshaw getting his head in line with off stump so that he can know when to leave as many balls as possible, having to get through the new ball at the Gabba. I am not sure that Finch deserves to be locked in as our opener. He wasn't strong in RSA and 50 over cricket often feels about 30 overs too long for him.I guess Finch and Warner are locked in at openers. Really think Smith is best suited at 3, and after that there's Bailey and a heap of ARs. Probably not room for Khawaja because he has to bat top 3/4
Khawaja has to be top 3. Smith can be 4.Khawaja can be a decent no 4 in ODIs. Bailey can be no 5.
