Know any footage of this fella bowling?

Edit: never mind, found a streamed match. Interesting action, very much a throwback to earlier eras.

I used to play for his club

Ryan Harris is a life member, very influential in Queensland cricket and rates others more highly

Asked them today who they would prefer to face

“Not Aubrey but he’s not professional”

Ironic from someone who wasted the first half of his career because, among other things, he lacked professionalism.

All of the Shield squads barring QLD are out now, fair bit of interesting news to make note of

NSW have elected to drop Sangha which I'm sure will please some here, Abbott is out preparing for the India JAMODIs and Dwarshuis has been given a spell also. Jack Edwards comes back in for some reason, while in line for dayboos are Ollie Davies and ACT 2nd XI regular Blake MacDonald (who almost came down here to Adelaide to play grade a couple of years back, same season Hunt arrived, but the deal fell through for some reason). At the very least, bringing in three batsmen for one batsman and two bowlers suggests they aren't going for NSW meme bowler heavy balance for once.

Miitch Marsh is back to play his first Shield game (he played the 50 over game and got ran out for a globe) for a fair while for WA, straight back in as captain too, opposing the West Australians will be Tasmania who have dropped Ben McDermott from their lineup. He's had a bad Shield season but that still surprised me tbh. Strongly rumoured now to head back to Queensland, have to wonder if that is something that has been brewing for a while or has just came about recently

Wes Agar gets a rest for South Australia, pleasingly Johnson is good to go for this round. Jake Lehmann will once again lead after Henry Hunt resigned from the captaincy in order to focus on his own game

WA: Mitchell Marsh (c), Cameron Bancroft, Hilton Cartwright, Cameron Gannon, Aaron Hardie, Josh Inglis, Matt Kelly, Joel Paris, Corey Rocchiccioli, Charlie Stobo, Ashton Turner, Sam Whiteman, Teague Wyllie

TAS: Jackson Bird, Jake Doran, Nathan Ellis, Jarrod Freeman, Caleb Jewell, Riley Meredith, Lawrence Neil-Smith, Tim Paine, Jordan Silk (c), Charlie Wakim, Tim Ward, Beau Webster, Mac Wright

NSW: Trent Copeland, Ollie Davies, Jack Edwards, Matthew Gilkes, Chris Green, Liam Hatcher, Moises Henriques, Daniel Hughes, Hayden Kerr, Blake MacDonald, Blake Nikitaras, Kurtis Patterson (c), Chris Tremain

SA: Jake Lehmann (c), Jordan Buckingham, Jake Carder, Brendan Doggett, Daniel Drew, Henry Hunt, Spencer Johnson, Ben Manenti, Nathan McAndrew, Nathan McSweeney, Harry Nielsen (wk), Liam Scott

VIC: Will Sutherland (c), Ashley Chandrasinghe, Travis Dean, Sam Elliott, Sam Harper, Marcus Harris, Jon Holland, Campbell Kellaway, Cam McClure, Fergus O’Neill, Mitch Perry, James Seymour, Matt Short

Turner a chance at a shield recall is not something I expected to see given WA's depth, but he's not a bad FC bat by any means.

Copeland back is such a meme.

A great one, but a meme all the same.

Hopefully he doesn't bat 6 or something.

Edwards wtf though.

Been in a couple of squads already, but this time he surely must play with the balance of that team

Agreed Edwards being back is a bit of a joke. Must say I can't really comment on Davies too much as I don't think I have ever actually seen him bat against a red ball

I get dropping Sangha but for Edwards? WTF? Has he even scored runs at 2nd XI/Grade level?

Yeah Sangha is ordinary but Edwards is next level horrible. He's averaging 30 in first grade this year with a HS of 57. It's embarrassing a State traditionally as strong as NSW has to resort to picking him over and over again.

Lol indeed. Was first picked for NSW as a foetus while averaging 12 in first grade.

twelve ffs.

Was disappointed about probably not getting to watch Johnson bowl today but SA are doing their best to ensure he does.
