Australian Domestic Season 2019/20

Fox could have at least left the camera at the other end though.

Sams with the typical backyard cricket innings there. Boom, then bust

It would have clashed with the women's T20I which I think they're obliged to show live. This clash happened the other day and they moved the Marsh Cup game to 507 when it did, but today the India v SA Test is on 507. I can see why they decided not to send the good commentators out to show a third cricket game at the same time, and I'm glad they prioritised the Test.
look i get that but CA are broadcasting it, it just seems counterintuitive to have two different sets of commentators, producers, cameras for two games at the same ground in three days. they had howie, sok, haddin and lehmann there who would’ve had no part in the women’s t20i (which is ch7 native anyway), surely they could’ve put it on 505 and had those guys stay there another couple of days. things that don’t really matter tbh

Gilkes will absolutely show up Alex Hales in this seasons BBL. You heard it here first.

Damn Blues got a motor on didn't they. Like the look of Gilkes, interesting backlift and movements but still a solid technique

Australian limited overs specialist Andrew Tye going at eights as he somehow seems to do quite often, despite apparently being a limited overs specialist.

Hence why I really don't want him back around the Australian setup, just tends to get smacked around far too often.

He's like SL tours of Australia - there to pass the time between important fixtures (in his case, between WCs).

Tye looked the goods when he first came onto the scene for WA. Not sure if he's regressed or just got worked out

Eh still think we have better options for meaningless ODI/T20 bilateral trash. Most of them will probably be injured by then anyway though

Generally speaking blokes who tend to rely mainly on various different slower balls tend to have a pretty short shelf life, need more in your arsenal than just pace off

But what about his gnarly socks.

The kid is 32 now, much prefer the Billy&Riley combo now.

Dermo Abbott is a long way ahead of the rest of this NSW attack in terms of LO nous. They're going to struggle to defend this.

Sams has been disappointing so far. Starting to think his form last season was a bit of an aberration and maybe he's not actually that good.

He got pumped towards the end of the BBL too.

I think his batting has fairly consistently been better than what was expected of him when he was first selected, but given he's supposed to be a bowler first he definitely has too many off days for someone who bowls what he does. I like him but he definitely needs to address whatever it is that makes him just bowl leg stump half volleys once every three games or so.
