Australian Domestic Season 2016/17

Probably a good time for him to retire ITBT. Pierson is coming along nicely and will make a nice replacement.

Hartley was extremely unlucky to never have played a test match. He was a quality batsman and a very fine keeper. I have strong memories of him taking a number of screamers and hitting 6s to win games for Queensland.

Let's hope he can pull it all together for a shield won in his last season.

Will Hartley play for the Thunder,as Doran and Lenton were flops last year, and Hartley can strengthen the batting.
Also see no problem with him being a T20 pro, like Haddin and Watson is.

All true

Now lets not get carried away.

Dougeh probably won't be back.

and even if he was he hasn't won one in a couple of years.

Lot of retirements starting to flow through seemingly.

Voges was pretty predictable though. As for Hartley, with Pierson showing form his decision made sense even if it'll hurt Queensland short-term.

Expecting Dougeh to follow them. Wonder if Klinger plays on at FC level too.

Yeah given the national selection policies coupled with the fact that Peirson has been doing well, I think that now is the right time for Hartley to retire.

A couple of the other old boys should consider the same thing tbh.

Might take the family down to AB Oval on the weekend for a while to watch the shield match.

Casey South Melbourne thought they'd get Clive back after finishing in finals for the first time for five years. Looks less likely now.

With the test players out that's a very strong side.

Anybody averaging 50 in first grade anywhere has a fair shot of some success at FC level so long as they can play pace
Cool, basically our best or 2nd best player is out there. He's averaging like 16 iirc with some left arm filth as well but the bowling averages there look pretty low so I'm not sure it's that impressive.
