James Hopes just blocked a ball and it spun on and hit the stumps. Dougeh can't be stopped.

Boland takes 7-31

Brockley, noted all rounder Marcus Stoinis now has 42 wicket-less overs.. But he made a century, good work!

State Captain
Yes Boland wins !

In for Starc !!!

Backed up by Patto's 2 wickets

Vics dominated the game despite TDean having his first ever shocka. Stonois, Handscomb and Finch had good games. Ahmed picked up some wickets as well.

Tremain must be disappointed to be substituted out after his 4 wickets in the first innings.

Watched Stoney Stonios bowl last game, just couldn't bowl 6 good balls in an over, got hit for a four just about every over.

WA really need to sort out their team. Wells, Beaton, Tye and Moody would all be dropped and I would seriously consider Agar too.

I've ended up with:

1 Bancroft 2 Harris 3 Bosisto 4 Klinger 5 Turner 6 Whiteman 7 Agar 8 Coulter-Nile 9 Paris 10 Behrendorff 11 Hogan 12 Mackin

adub

International Captain
8 Coulter-Nile 9 Paris 10 Behrendorff 11 Hogan
tbf you'd want to be walking out to bat on a road if that was the pace attack you were facing up to. WACAs just need a couple of guys to step up with the bat and they'll be hard to beat.

Queensland top order folded this game. Hopes bowled his usual game but not his usual batting.

'Tahs had a good team effort with O'Keefe and Dougeh doing well,

brockley

International Captain
James' batting not as good as it used to be he used to open for QLD in the one dayers, now he bats 7 or 8,same in first class.
Shame Michael Beer went back 2 St Kilda Nufan.

Midwinter

State Captain
So ends round 4 with 4 teams on two wins
Vics dominate the game against the Sandgropers
Croweaters first innings too good for the apple eaters
'Tahs bowlers too good for the bananabenders top order

Next round is the last before the Bash

Vics vs SA
NSW vs Qld
WA vs Tas

Nice symmetrical round with each game pitting teams adjacent on the ladder

Bowling
Tas Bird 18, Fekete 12
SA Mennie 17, Sayer 11
Qld Hopes 14, Sketetee 12
NSW O'Keefe 14, Bollinger 12
Vic Ahmed 14, Boland 12
WA Hogan 10. Behrendoroff 9

Spinners starting to come into it, sign of WA's form that Behrendorff has only played 2 games

Still hope that Feketee and Sketetee will bowl together in a rep game later in the season.

Batting
Tas Dunk 504, Bailey 493
SA Ferguson 435, Ross 310
WA Klinger 387, Agar 248
Vic Dean 372, Handscomb 346 (Stonios 314)
NSW Cowan 305, Smith 219 - one game
Qld Hartley240, Henry 239

Tas batting a two man band, WA top order not making runs, Vics consistent with Stoney Stonios and Fingers Handscomb improving each game , NSW have played in low scoring games and Qld top order have been inconsistent.

Lot of good to come out of the win in Hobart but, without checking, I think the SA record there has been good for a while. Batting hasn't quite clicked yet as it's more reliant on individuals playing a blinder but the bowling has been consistent, Worrall/Mennie/Chadd proving a solid combo + whoever the spinner is.

SA having a good start to the season is nothing terribly new, post-Christmas is when you see who the contenders are.
