India need to play 2 spinners for the pink ball test. So often average fast bowlers can become cannon fodder with the pink ball.

Let's not forget that Ashwin picked up 4 wickets in the 1st innings of the Adelaide test in 2020. And Lyon is always a handful with it too. So I'd definitely want to see proper spinners play instead of trundlers like Nitish Reddy.

Yeah it felt weird that lots of people were doubting him because of his ability against inswing. He's still a 19 year old kid FFS, it's not like it's always going to be an issue.

I mean it might be. It was for Watto.

If he's going to be suggested for immediate Test promotion then yeah we're going to look at how he'd do immediately. Criticising his flaws now doesn't mean we doubt his talent or his potential to fix the issues when he's played more than ten games.

It’s just bizarre that lesser bowlers are being selected because of their batting when the other 2 have 10 test centuries between them

Not to mention that Jadeja is one of the greatest fielders in history

Yeah he's at least getting his pad across. We can probably thank Watto for improving his ability to get struck in front of off stump totally plumb instead of getting bowled.

And I'm taking the piss a bit but it is actually a genuine improvement.

He is a worse batter than Jadeja. A significantly worse bowler and a worse fielder. How is he playing as an all rounder over a player like Jadeja? Makes absolutely zero sense.
