No use of two spinner at Perth . jadeja and Washington are more of same type bowler but Washington is in his prime form while jadeja is past his prime. Dont forget Washington will get extra bounce due to his height.Need more batting, I'd play Jadeja rather than Harshit. He has very limited red ball experience and didn't play any IND A vs AUS A fixture. Our weak point is batting, I'll rather go with Jadeja and hope the 3 pacers + Washi, Jadeja take care of the bowling
Deck chairs on the titanic though. No use of two spinner at Perth . jadeja and Washington are more of same type bowler but Washington is in his prime form while jadeja is past his prime. Dont forget Washington will get extra bounce due to his height.
Its not Washi vs Jadeja. Playing Harshit who has so little FC experience, and didn't play in IND A vs AUS A games makes little sense to me. And, it leaves our batting massively weak. I'll rather play a batsman than Harshit. No use of two spinner at Perth . jadeja and Washington are more of same type bowler but Washington is in his prime form while jadeja is past his prime. Wouldn't call absolute disaster. Prasidh krishna has proved he is ready for tests. Think we would compete well unless ca gives turnersDeck chairs on the titanic though.
Just a disaster for India, these two A tour games. Nothing from the A side to suggest they can replace the hapless first XI.
Love that they've fielded a near shield standard batting lineup and just given India boland+random kids to prepare for a pink ball test. Good banterAustralia Prime Minister XI squad named to play India before 2nd Test (30 Nov - 1 Dec)
Matt Renshaw is back after his Shield ton, while it seems weird that Boland is thrown in with the youngsters (I know it's just to give him a bowl as Test reserve)
Jack Edwards (capt), Charlie Anderson, Mahli Beardman, Scott Boland, Jack Clayton, Aidan O'Connor, Ollie Davies, Jayden Goodwin, Sam Harper, Hanno Jacobs, Sam Konstas, Lloyd Pope, Matthew Renshaw, Jem Ryan
Isn't that basically always what the PMs XI is like? A youth development Shield side at most unless the timing makes it a true A game.Love that they've fielded a near shield standard batting lineup and just given India boland+random kids to prepare for a pink ball test. Good banter
Ohh obviously, I just find the contrast between batting and bowling funny, especially given what India would want out of a pink ball prep game.Isn't that basically always what the PMs XI is like? A youth development Shield side at most unless the timing makes it a true A game.
Wouldn't Jack Clayton probably bat ahead of Davies considering their respective Shield batting positions?Looking forward to seeing how the Prime Minister's XI top 4 batting does vs India this weekend (pity it's only a 2 dayer)
1. Renshaw
2. Konstas
3. Goodwin
4. Davies
Also hoping Sarfaraz gets a game

Davies has moved up to 4 for NSW in last 3 games, so I put him above Clayton for that and the same reason you saidWouldn't Jack Clayton probably bat ahead of Davies considering their respective Shield batting positions?
That being said Davies is likely closer to the Australian selectors thoughts (probably rightly, even though I do like Clayton as a player)
