One of the commentators talking about the Indian players playing 3 and 4 day cricket in underage competitions. If that's true, no wonder they learn to compile bigger scores than ours.

Konstas has just turned 19

He’s scored 24 centuries in first grade, u19s and fc

It’s a mindset

Yeah he's at least getting his pad across. We can probably thank Watto for improving his ability to get struck in front of off stump totally plumb instead of getting bowled.

And I'm taking the piss a bit but it is actually a genuine improvement.
I do hope he can learn to play the proper flick off the pads at some point. It's such a bread and butter shot these days for good reason, because there's much more choice of where place the ball than the pushes to the on side he's currently playing.

Now that Bolands playing the 2nd Test why would CA give India batsmen a look at him under lights here? I'd sit him

Probably better than most Test attacks as they have used 7 Test bowlers so far
Have seen him play a few times and this is the first time I have thought that he’s an absolute gun

He’s obviously a very talented young player but this was a different level

I would pick him for the 5th test in Sydney virtually regardless of the series position as the team is old & needs new blood

The only question now is who will Konstas replace as Australian opener, a retiring Khawaja or a failing McSweeney?
