A pretty good bargain for one of the ATG opening batsmen (kallicharan) :)
Kallicharran what?...wait...

ATG?

And, opening batsman??? Pretty sure he spent at least 80% of his batting career at numbers 3, 4 and 5...

I meant top order batsman (did open for a few innings didn't he? At least that is why I got him :p)

Kallicharran opened in 1 among his 109 innings, and scored 7 runs! He was a pretty solid middle-order batsman, and a regular member in Lloyd's great WI side.

And I am disappointed that you're not even reading Jager's short summaries properly. The guy is doing a very good job.

Edit: I think you are confusing him with Rohan Kanhai.

I didn't read the summaries after the first few ones....probably confused him with Kanhai though........not too well acquainted with the WI batting of the 80s as opposed to their bowling tbh

No problems though, he is a decent buy for the price you paid. You can play him at no. 3, 4, 5 or even 6.

Kallicharan played more in the 70s than in the eighties...Kallicharan, Richards and Lloyd made a very good 3-4-5 (Kallicharan and Richards swapped numbers 3 and 4 many times though)...

International Debutant
Ian Bishop, RHB, RF

Test career (1989-1998)
43 matches, 76 innings, 8407 balls, 3909 runs conceded, 161 wickets, BBI 6/40, BBM 8/57, average of 24.27, economy rate 2.78, strike rate 52.2, 6 five-fors

Ian Bishop's hostile pace was eventually his downfall, his body unable to cope with the consistent pressure of fast bowling. Wonderfully talented with a smooth side-on action, Bishop swung the ball away from right-handed batsman at a delightfully brisk pace. His opening bowling partnership with Curtly Ambrose provided a highly intimidating arena for any opening batsman, and one can only imagine how good Bishop could have proven himself had it not been for his frequent back problems. He was a consistant performer in any conditions and is often underrated by fans.
