Why isn't anyone cancelling bids? I would be doing that for sure..
I was wondering the same. Even if not used as a strategy, the weapon can be used to show a change of mind. Sometimes we go with the flow and place a very high bid but after contemplating for 10 minutes we realise that we were getting carried away - even that hasn't happen.

Probably people have too much money at this stage to give their high bids a second thought :)

Give us a big fish, weldone, and see us go nuts. Bring on Sobers or Imran.
Haha yeah a really big name now would see so many bids.
Don't worry guys, I am thinking about introducing Ajit Agarkar, Mohammad Sami and Nicky Boje within the next few rounds :p

We are 10% done with our game - 1/10th on our way. Are you guys enjoying playing it? I am having an exciting time conducting it...feel like a scientist carrying out an experiment on some guinea pigs :p

Jager is doing a good job with the short summaries, Michaelf7777777 is doing a fabulous job with his regular updation of the teams. The main challenge for me is to keep it interesting throughout. Guys, does it really matter whether the game runs for 3-4 months if it remains exciting throughout?

I've been enjoying this draft very much. I'm particularly interested in seeing how everyone's strategies play out.

Anyway 760,000 for Kallicharran

Though it is really initial stage of the draft to make any judgements, if I am told to choose 2 drafters who are playing this best I shall probably choose marc71178 and weeman27bob :) Amazing how they have completely different strategies, and yet I think they are 'probably' the ones playing it best. Quite a few of the others (at least 5 of them) are playing almost equally well. The best part is that all 10 still have very good chances of ending up with the best team. And that is why this is so interesting (as Blakus said). When everyone is on 10*, you never know who is going to score a century from thereon.

Jager

International Debutant
Alvin Kallicharran, LHB, OS

Test career
66 matches, 109 innings, 10 not outs, 4399 runs, HS 187, average of 44.43, 12 centuries and 21 fifties

Dangerous and elegant with the possession of every shot, Kallicharran was a wonderful strokeplayer. His style flourished on flatter pitches but was capable of taking on the finest of fast bowlers, including a memorable assault on Dennis Lillee in the 1975 World Cup (Alvin Kallicharan destroys Dennis Lillee - YouTube). He had the misfortune of being out in the 90's seven times during his career, but his touch play will be remembered fondly by all who witnessed him. He spent the majority of his career batting at number four, where he averaged 40.13 and scored four centuries, but his 25 innings batting at first drop yielded five hundreds at 58.00.
