Seeing as I was picking purely to sell, I figured that I'd get more bang for my buck by going for a WK/Batsmen than on an all-rounder, as WK doesn't have an accompanying secondary to drink up ITS. Pretty pleased with the result, WK was Wor to start with, but even so, Med isn't a terrible starting point for training, he's around half way up Resp Bat, and whilst Woe Conc is the thing which will drag down his price, it's not actually all that bad, as it'll come along reasonably quickly with batting and WK nets. Listed for £0, will hopefully contribute half a mill plus towards the new all-rounder fund. *
Of my 14 OD and FC opponents, 1 is a bot, 2 are around the Strong/Comp - Prof/Strong mark, and the remaining 11 are all between Qual/Prof - Strong/Prof and Sense/Sense - Exq/Mir. On the plus side I'd feel as though I had a chance against any/all of them, but on the down side I could also lose to all of them, so it makes it hard to target resources at specific games. In RL I'm more inclined towards FC over OD, but in BT I really want to make a push towards Div II, as I reckon reaching Div II in England is when you can really start to call yourself a team - Though having said that, getting there and staying there are going to be two entirely different things.
Have a tickly little 1st round Cup match. Nothing too scary, Strong/Med - Comp/Comp, but their just about good enough not to take for granted with the reserves. Plus, having sold Cash and Carlton, and hitherto failed to replace them with a new all-rounder, the cupboard's looking a little bare in terms of strength in depth. I'll most likely go close to full strength but TIE.
