Need to chase 303 for promotion on a hard and fast.

On the bright side, they have no bowlers. Spinners got murdered at the death though (which is fair enough I s'pose...)

End of Over 40: 219-2, runrate=5.48, reqrunrate=8.40 (302-4)
Harrinarine 10-0-61-1
Crouch* 43 (75 balls)
Porter 4 (1 balls)
Last Wicket: Herbert b. Harrinarine 123 (FOW: 215/2)

Look doomed itbt. Should have batted James at four.

Edit:

And that's the end of the match. Dynamo Morpork won by 6 wickets.
wootton wanderers 302-4
Dynamo Morpork 303-4

Play-off match with Bosstones (I think), it is. James started frustratingly, two dots, but won the game with a six and four.

Ha, quite comfortably beat the team that was in first place for the second time this season, causing them to lose out on top spot because of RR. Fairly confident about next season tbh, could have won the league with a different set of fixtures or more OD minded pfl managment, which should be what happens next season.

Hmm. Which way do you want it. Do you want to win all the time or lose all the time? Seems you're never happy.
Problem is that in D1 he is likely due most games, due to what he feels is lack of tactical impact in matches. Most side in D1 in England a class above his side. In D2 he better then most so is probably happy with the current state of game. Probably just frustrated his sides at the crossroads tbh. Too good for one league, but not good enough for another.

So basically, he can complain if he loses in Div 2, but cant if he loses in Div 1.

scaly has a pretty solid side, and should dominate ,most matches. when your side should be dominating, statistically, at least, and it isn't you get annoyed. i mean when duggan is bowled out by some hack superb, i get pretty pissed off. scaly just isn't as humble and lets it out just

Going by his theory, yes. Mind you haven't looked at other D1 sides in England, so he might be better then some. But considering his unwillingness to promote to D1, most likely they are better then his side.

BARNES OUT
His bowling is easily good enough for I.1 imo. Add another gun bowler and he'd have the best bowling attack in England for mine. His batting is his problem and he knows it, if he adds a masterful+ batsman or perhaps two exceptional+ batsmen into the top order he's set to be one of the best.

P.S. I am not a crackpot.

So the best side doesn't win enough, the best side wins too often?
No, a team that has a relatively small edge wins far too often regardless of strategy, pitch etc. (because those things barely matter in BT) and going by the effect of that differential you'd expect to beat teams that are much weaker all of the time, but you don't. There are quite often farcical, baffling results like this:

Sherwood CCC highton
Top Order: masterful remarkable
Middle Order: sensational quality
Lower Order: woeful worthless
Seam Bowling: elite wonderful
Spin Bowling: quality quality
Fielding: mediocre mediocre

Cracked pitch, Sherwood has two 2 85k+ wage bowlers who are FM and F. Sherwood loses and I win the division.
