Pretty irrelevant really, considering the BT match engine is screwed and it all just comes down to luck? And Withington is boned.
I got double promotion.
Meh.

In the short term you can get utterly ridiculous results, otherwise the best side wins regardless a disproportionately high percentage of the time.Pretty irrelevant really, considering the BT match engine is screwed and it all just comes down to luck?
Kind of like real life.In the short term you can get utterly ridiculous results, otherwise the best side wins regardless a disproportionately high percentage of the time.
Problem is that in D1 he is likely due most games, due to what he feels is lack of tactical impact in matches. Most side in D1 in England a class above his side. In D2 he better then most so is probably happy with the current state of game. Probably just frustrated his sides at the crossroads tbh. Too good for one league, but not good enough for another.Hmm. Which way do you want it. Do you want to win all the time or lose all the time? Seems you're never happy.
So basically, he can complain if he loses in Div 2, but cant if he loses in Div 1.Problem is that in D1 he is likely due most games, due to what he feels is lack of tactical impact in matches. Going by his theory, yes. Mind you haven't looked at other D1 sides in England, so he might be better then some. But considering his unwillingness to promote to D1, most likely they are better then his side.So basically, he can complain if he loses in Div 2, but cant if he loses in Div 1.
So the best side doesn't win enough, the best side wins too often? In the short term you can get utterly ridiculous results, otherwise the best side wins regardless a disproportionately high percentage of the time.
No, a team that has a relatively small edge wins far too often regardless of strategy, pitch etc. (because those things barely matter in BT) and going by the effect of that differential you'd expect to beat teams that are much weaker all of the time, but you don't. There are quite often farcical, baffling results like this:So the best side doesn't win enough, the best side wins too often?
