hang in there mate you get a couple of quick wickets and who knows!
Thanks bugs - 1 down!

End of Over 44 (Maiden). Ibstock Knitters CC: 179-5, runrate=4.07 (1st Inn: 299-10)
Lead by 106 runs. (The Heath CC 372-8 dec)
Lucas 12-1-38-1
Lewis* 99 (112 balls)
Clairmonte 0 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Bushell b. Lucas 11 (FOW: 179/5)

Need these last 5 to go down pretty quickly as batting is tricky in humid conditions and we only went at about 3 an over for most of our first innings.

Edit: Just noticed that all five wickets have been clean bowled so far.

Came into the final day needing to take 4 wickets, with my opponents some 20 runs behind.

Within an hour, it was all over -- my 2nd innings featured only one scoring shot, a Reed boundary, as the lads romped to a 9 wicket win. Not impressed with Perry's diamond duck though!

So, top of my FC league and rock bottom in OD. Actually, probably 2nd in FC by a point, as Rickmansworth would have managed two bonus points more than me in this match. They won by 1216 runs!

It's going to come down to the very last game of the season, Withington vs. Rickmansworth, winner takes all. Just like last season, except that the third-placed team came in and stole it.

End of Over 82 (3 runs). Thommos Trojans: 255-7, runrate=3.11 (1st Inn: 149-10)
Trail by 43 runs. (Scaly Piscine CC 343-10 & 104-10)
Preece 12-1-36-1
Olowe* 38 (65 balls)
Clifford 0 (28 balls)

Last Wicket: Jackson c. Summers b. Pace 2 (FOW: 225/7)

Will be less than impressed if BT shafts me here. My two best bowlers are hardly doing anything and for some bizarre reason Summers came off after 2 overs at the start of the day - wtf. All they have is two very good batsmen, two passable bats and two very good bowlers.

I've found if you don't reset them by changing your orders overnight, bowling spells just roll over from the previous day's play as if there hadn't been a break. You don't really have to change anything either, just enter the orders screen and hit submit.

End of Over 67 (1 runs). Ibstock Knitters CC: 225-8, runrate=3.36 (1st Inn: 299-10)
Lead by 152 runs. (The Heath CC 372-8 dec)
Westwood 16-3-37-3
Lewis* 126 (163 balls)
Elding 1 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Glody b. Westwood 9 (FOW: 221/8)

Need to get these last two wickets fast if we're going to be able to chase this down...

The players are off the field for tea.

End of Over 70 (Maiden). Ibstock Knitters CC: 231-9, runrate=3.30 (1st Inn: 299-10)
Lead by 158 runs. (The Heath CC 372-8 dec)
Prutton 18-3-59-3
Lewis* 128 (170 balls)
Harkness 0 (4 balls)

Last Wicket: Elding st. Bartlett b. Prutton 4 (FOW: 231/9)

Looks like they've just done enough to scrape a draw. Ah well, doesn't mean all that much in the end.

Gone.

92.5 W Patel to Hay
Patel is the King of the Swingers there. Lovely bowling, and Hay is gone.

And that's the end of the match. Scaly Piscine CC won by 20 runs.

Amazing turnaround in my FC game. Big 1st innings deficit and then my decent spinner tore it up for me to win by 53 runs.

Missed out on a win by 4 runs!

Ibstock Knitters CC: 299 (100)

The Heath CC: 372/8 (120)

Ibstock Knitters CC: 235 (71.4)

The Heath CC: 159/1 (38)

Just took too long to bowl them out this afternoon, and then Grant (45* from 108 balls) dropped anchor when I needed him to hit out. Ah well, never mind...

BARNES OUT
Playing Gooric today for outright first of our league, pretty nervous. Gotta get Carroll early or I'm ****ed.

End of Over 5: 26-1, runrate=5.20
Lambert 3-0-9-1
Wildsmith* 8 (10 balls)
Carroll 15 (15 balls)
Last Wicket: Drench c. Heads b. Lambert 2 (FOW: 2/1)

Hopefully Conn can do something with the ball for once.

EDIT: All my wishes came true...

5.4 W Conn to Carroll
Carroll's played way too early and has served a dolly back to Conn. The slower ball does the trick!

Harris* 20 (31 balls)
Ludlow 13 (28 balls)

Last Wicket: Stroud c. Steadhart b. Matjhatjhametse 3 (FOW: 10/1)

Quite a steady start. Really need a win here to stay in the race for 2nd spot though. I'm currently sitting 5th, just 1 game behind 2nd-4th, and I can't risk getting to far behind as I'm only ahead of 7th on NRR...

EDIT: ****, Ludlow & Harris both out in the space of 7 balls...

Got thumped by mod-hex, unsurprisingly. Ratings were abysmal, bring on next season.
