Don't really see the point in the transfer tax either, as Adam said, it'll just make finding good players on the market far more difficult. Not overly fussed on BT20 being in the middle of the season either, I'll most likely throw the games.

I can see the point of it (discouraging stupid listing prices), but the fact that you seem to get charged even if your player sells just means that people will stop using the listing price feature completely. Wasn't thought through, obviously, and is a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a walnut.

Mid-season BT20 competition makes even less sense. Don't see how it'll fit in to a single week, either. Hey ho.

I'd say a lot of people will be listing at $0 then putting a bid on their own player at a decent price right away. That's what I plan to do with my YP's if I get anything decent.

If no one bids you basically pay the tax anyway through 5% fee thing for any players sold.

Obviously I'd set it at a price where I know I'll at least get a bid.

The new leagues for next season have been done. I've got a team with 2 100k+ BTR players demoted into my Div. V league. He's selling one of them though, so I'm confident I can beat him.

I suppose I did finally get the V->IV promotion tables right, as I'm off to IV.12, home to Tim "Ducky" Cahill of the England NT squad. There's two teams I can compete with, maybe three if I'm lucky. Will be very pleased if I get a playoff at the end of the season.

Yeah, but at least if someone does bid, you don't get clobbered twice. Setting your reserve by bidding at the start effectively does what most people on sledging seem to want: you only get charged the listing tax if your player doesn't sell. The downside is that you can't relist for 42 days or whatever it is.

Seems you get an 80% refund if the players goes onto sell and it's being capped at 80k. Bit better though seems an over complication of an aesthetical problem more than anything.

Looks like I have real chance at a double league victory so long as I avoid the Scotland rejects early on in the campaign

Bid by a div II player, as well, who surely ought to know better. And he's sold two actually decent players to finance it. I s'pose with a bowl a bat and a wk net he'd improve relatively quickly, but it'd still be a good three seasons before his secondaries were getting anywhere much.

Playing a bit of a warmup against one of the teams in my new league. Made 171-6 and have taken two early wickets, but now his two best bats are in and are cutting loose. Be nice to set the tone for the season with a win, but at least it's competitive.

Challenged you. Don't think you can challenge for BT20 anymore. Well I'm not seeing that option.

EDIT: Oh yeah can only challenge teams in your own country to BT20 :)

Yeah, a totally useless change. What, one season and all we get is some ridiculously complicated and minute "advancement" when there are still issues like lower-Div camping?... Not that encouraging.

Was just reading sledging and BT-raptornex said Junior Mason had level 37 conc. Insane. No wonder his wages were crazily high.
