Pretty sad that, barring a mathematical miracle, my promotion push from Div.III is over for this season at least.

Murphy's Sweaty Box 270/9, Heads 133, Gilbert 71, Nelson 30*, Bewers 3/59, Jeffery 5/55
Cymru Gurgitaters 244 A/O, Greening 133, King 3/53,

Sens/Strong/Feeb - Qual/Strong/Med GFI ratings aren't a great deal of comfort. Oh well, at least Quot Boys' defeat means that I'm guarantied of safety, 20 points clear of fifth with only three games to go.

So all attention turns to Tharmi, and the FC title, which I didn't really want!!

Going to be a bad weekend one feels for you. Oh well atleast you can focus on FC then.

Will be supporting you, as i think/know my only chance to make the final is to beat Cameron (easy) then draw you in the semi's. And because Hakon is in love with me, he will draw Adam vs Scaly next round, so i just need you to win.

Been a long hard season so I'm very happy to finally see some improvements. Batting line up coming together, but we need some depth. Though when Warnakulasuriya is fit he should help with that. Also need to buy some better bowlers, not sure how that is possible though with the current transfer market and the way finances are this now with no FC subs.

Haha just realised we were three matches away from winning the whole thing.

Haha, I certainly won't be. Fed up of his sledging truth be told and I want to play him next week so hope he gets pummelled.

I don't think I will be playing many friendlies until the season is finished. I am strongly considering trying to push for a spot in D2 next season and I want my players near full strength for the playoff. Mind you me and Thamba have a 2nd XI match due after I'm finished with the BT Cup. I don't really want to play that match either TBH, but we always play a game each season.

Running scared methinks.

I'm pushing for a place in the Ranji but playing you is more of a priority....:p

I'll be brief, but basically, I am on track to promote to Div III in both OD and FC after a change of heart last week. All season I'd resolved to simply come 2nd in FC so I could focus on OD and preserve PFLs, but last week I realised it would become boring with only 1 decent game a week, and, as fate would have it, the "title decider" was last week. So I fielded a full strength side and scraped home by 2 wickets. About 7 points ahead in FC and 2 games ahead in OD, so provided I don't drop any games, I'll be in III for both.

Had one pop I think, quite solid. Still waiting on Bhutia's batting, Mcmillan's bowling & Mulholland's stamina though:

Gregg Mullis - 19 yo, BT Rating=25,838
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, lively
A defensive player with mediocre leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: proficient Wicket Keeping: woeful
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: remarkable Consistency: proficient
Fielding: worthless

Gives me 4 remarkable+ bowlers, 3 of which are being trained

Bugssy off to a good start against Brackenhurst -

caves_beachcc
End of Over 14: 97-2, runrate=6.93
Verhoeven 7-0-45-1
Skipper* 30 (35 balls)
Tyler 4 (4 balls)

Verhoeven not doing a lot to convince me of his number one reserve bowler status.

NZTailender

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
21.2 W Gleeson to Dylan
A simply stunning catch by Stannage. Diving low to his right, the ball fizzed through the air and into his grasp.

Massive wicket, and he was only (only!) on 60.

24.6 W Brayley to De beer
Full ball and the attempted hoick over long on is taken on the ropes. Good catch by Weerappuli.
24.5 W Brayley to Holly
He's edged it, and he's caught by Drummond.

Haha Brayley you gun! The weakest bowler of all five and he's on a hat trick next over. WAG!

Yeah, I'm in the same boat re: promotion. Needed to beat the top ranked team last week to be in with a shot, so unless he suffers a shock defeat then the one-day stuff is meaningless. Should win the First Class...playing the top ranked team this week and then have 3 games against weak teams.

Seneviratne* 13 (10 balls)

Last Wicket: Pryde lbw b. Brayley 1 (FOW: 193/9)

Am pretty pleased with our bowling performance tbh.

End of Over 50: 219-10, runrate=4.38
Gleeson 9-1-38-5
Munroe* 63 (73 balls)

End of Over 6: 24-3, runrate=4.00, reqrunrate=4.45 (219-10)
Lambert 3-0-14-2
Siyabonga* 9 (18 balls)
Weerappuli 2 (7 balls)
Last Wicket: Dhindsa b. Lambert 11 (FOW: 16/3)

Our previous scores vs CD are 17, 199 & 38. The 199 being when Smith rested some bowlers...

I'm thinking around 75 here, but could easily be lower. Dhindsa is out and he is for all intents and purposes, my best batsman.
