There was a thread in the England sledging about Fambridge actually, they thought it might be the biggest squad in the game. It's quite astounding how rubbish a manager he must be to have never left div V after two and a bit years playing the game.

Yeah, I saw that and added to it. I dunno what he's up to to be honest. He has some decent players compared to my squad, but then this is only my 2nd season!

Anyway, Kepler is going berserk, Caldwell is doing great as well.

I now find myself in the unusual position of having a better chance of winning promotion from my Div.IV FC league than I have from my Div.III Od league.

Until Monday my priorities were clear - Chuck the kitchen sink at OD, and try and do enough in FC to stay in the top four. But with the NRR recalculation, I'm now in second in OD, 15 runs behind first, whereas in FC I'm top, albeit still with a very real chance of being relegated.

My FC league looks something like this: 1. Cymru Gurgitaters, 156, 2. Welsh Wizards, 152, 3. Turnip Town, 149, 4. Ruatha, 146, 5. Flying Wickets, 145, 6. Freddy's Chunky Wood, 135.

Turnip Town are in Free-fall, having led for most of the season. I have them next up, followed by Welsh Wizards, who are probably the best team in our league since they've decided to take FC seriously, and finally a gi'me against 8th.

Didn't really want to promote in FC, as I don't have the depth of squad to be competitive in both codes, but my bloody-minded streak is demanding that I go for any trophy up for grabs.

Anyway, after today my priorities may become a little clearer. I'm GFIing against 3rd place Murhphy's Sweaty Box, but sadly I think he is too. They're currently 133/1 after 27, and I reckon 220 would be a good score on my slow pitch. Bewers and Wilde have been tidy, but the rest are going around the park.

Reckon today's GFI gives Tharmi the edge for Sunday's CW Cup quarter, but I'll be going full strength, and it should still be a hell of a match. Greening and Jethoon match up exactly I think. Them aside, I reckon I have the edge on the batting, he has the edge on the bowling, so I reckon it'll come down to who's supporting cast can chip in the most.

I'm playing GM-Waterhoose and The Tykes today. In a rare move, I opened with Sandwith...who promply got run out for a duck, leaving me 3/2. Reed and McGregor recovered, until the former was caught and bowled...103/3, with a collapse imminent...

UPDATE: And there it is. 139/6 from 39 overs. Bugger.

Thats the ratings that 2nd in my league got today, he has only lost to me, so only 1 win behind, although his NRR is 10ish behind, so it would take miracle for him to pass me. Though i want to auto-promote, so will be GFI'n, should be an interesting match in a couple of weeks, especially if he GFI's me back.

Speaking of auto-promotion, currently 8th on the table, and, just looking, even if i lost i would still be above the line. So III, he i come (probably)

167/9 in my match, with 3 overs left. Don't think I'll get (m)any more. On a flat track and a sunny day, The Tykes' long batting line-up shouldn't have any trouble.

Given that we're old friends, I'm going to take a lot of stick for losing to him twice this season. Looks like I'm bound for an OD relegation play-off at season's end

What a snorter by Turner! Beast of a delivery rears up right at the throat, Brownfield is stunned at the extra bounce and just fends at it, eyes completely off the ball. The ball pops up and a simple catch is taken by Caldwell at short leg.

Massive shout from bowler and keeper. Umpire agrees. He was caught right in front there.

Two wickets in two balls leave Fambridge in trouble and us firmly in the driving seat

So all attention turns to Tharmi, and the FC title, which I didn't really want!!

Won my league match against a bot easily as expected. We batted first as a change and Fordham scored 120 opening the batting. Thinking that might by his new position.

Powered to a comprehensive victory today which takes us 4 points clear at the top of the league. Caldwell won the MOTM award for his 108 from 104 deliveries, although his innings was made to look relatively turgid when considered alongside Kepler's brutal 107 from 74 balls. Woods was off colour with the ball following his exploits in FC cricket earlier in the week but Turner turned in a promising performance, taking 3/42, whilst Westwood and Hennessy also chipped in with wickets to make sure that a defiant knock of 72* from 76 balls by Fambridge number 8 Rizwanullah had absolutely no bearing on the result.
