Talk about a smashing. Last season they smashed me both games. Seems me not playing FC is really helping. Ratings to come.

EDIT:

Holy freaking crap, where did these ratings come from?

I just did a bit of scouting on my next cup opponent, Emu Plains. Seems they threw their OD game, that could be good, they might want to get their PFL's up for next week, and throw their game against me, or it could also mean they're resting their players to take me on, as my team is that gun.

Hoping he throws it though, would love to be the worst team left in the cup.

Haha, it seems my opponents batsmen were screwed by PFL's, dismissed them for 90

Opening Balance 10-231 (48.1)
Harris 112(132), Ludlow 64(84), Stroud 28(30)

Bayswater Sharks 10-90 (23.4)
Meyer 6-16(6.4), Verhoeven 2-17(5), Groves 2-22(5)

Bayswater Sharks Opening Balance
Top Order: respectable proficient
Middle Order: competent proficient
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: respectable proficient
Spin Bowling: respectable useless
Fielding: feeble woeful
MOTM: Meyer

That win will keep me in 3rd on the ladder, and if i'm lucky, might grab me 2nd spot as there is only a NRR difference between us, and his game is a lot closer than mine.

No Jeithoon, no Jets bowling attack. :(

They got no batsmen left after this, so we can get a couple quick wickets. We can still role them for a mid range score. They got no bowlers either fee/med ratings. So i would back our boys to get 350 plus against them. Maybe even 400 with any luck.

Rolled them for 107 in our cup match with Jeithoon.

I have another big game today against a side with almost equal ratings to me. It's a game that at the start of the season, I knew I'd have to win if I wanted to stay up, although it's not so important now that two teams have turned bot. That said, I'd love to finish 4th, so a win here would be really good. PFL starting to kick in for me just a little bit, Hennessy and Woods are invigorated but I'm going to go ahead and play Woods anyway.

We're on a flat track on a sunny day so the bowlers will struggle, but Kepler should do well for himself - he's opening the batting against their poor, tired bowlers, so should make hay. I'm hoping it'll be a similar game to last week - bat first, set a big score and then keep it tight at first so that the RRR spirals out of control. We shall see.

Have to work this morning (bah...) so won't be back until around 2.30 to see how I'm getting on. Hate working on Fridays. And Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Flogged a team by 10 wickets. Bowled them out for 26. Amazingly my competent bowler Fletcher kept up with my superb Mills in the wicket stakes.

Haha. This team has been resting players en masse this season, and I think may have underestimated me.

Eleven Wise Monkeys 244 (49.3)
Erasmus 4/62 (9.3), Canning 3/41 (10), Fernando 3/52 (10)

Magical Ponies 3/247 (48.3)
Terry 106 (138), Tedstone 95* (109), Farmer 27 (40)

Magical Ponies Eleven Wise Monkeys
Top Order: proficient strong
Middle Order: strong mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal abysmal
Seam Bowling: remarkable proficient
Spin Bowling: strong strong
Fielding: woeful mediocre
MOTM: Terry

Tezzzzza. Doesn't make a run for two seasons and then pulls out that, looks like I've finally found him a good batting spot, same for Tedstone. Terry also with 4 catches and 2 stumpings, WAG. Admittedly, they had a massive collapse at the end (3/232 to all out 244), but I'm very happy with that win, cause at full strength they could've beaten me.

Good effort today, Nkosinathi is now not out the last three innings for 230 runs. Greene finally scores some runs again after a number of ducks.

Name Runs Balls 4s 6s
Ashton (*) c. Mcleod b. Pearce 51 48 5 0
Greene b. Morne 145 117 10 3
Farrell not out 148 123 9 2
Nkosinathi not out 23 14 3 0

Ogrady
Julian
Chinnery
Hartburn

Bowled the other team out for 144...I meant to rest some players and probably should have!

Holy freaking crap, where did these ratings come from?
Seems to me that everything's up one level, barring numpty batting (no change) and spin (two levels). I think general consensus is that PAN-->GFI give you 1/2 to 2/3 extra ratings so, assuming TIE-->PAN is similar, it fits. Given that the spin rating may come from just one player, it could be that form or PFL variations have given it the extra level.

Today, I'm batting against Inter Yerma, arguably the top side in my league. I've gone with a full-strength team and stuck all the batsmen defensive, as I need to avoid collapsing against his opening bowlers -- unfortunately, I lost the toss and got put in to bat. 21/1 from 10 overs...even if I don't get bowled out, this could end up an unfortunately low target.

Dead Badger

Slightly annoyed; was rattling along at 6.5 an over on a TIE against one of my league's middling teams, when this happened:

Code:
10.3	W	Weller to Alshaun
Alshaun tried the reverse sweep but missed the ball completely and
could not get back into the crease in time as Moses dislodged the bails.
10.2	W	Weller to Platt
Bowled! Wonderful delivery, spun just past the outside edge of the bat
and clipped the top of off stump!
This is particularly annoying because I actually sold Weller to him a while back (before he promoted into my league). Weller was one of my zero-ITS YPs, and was (at the time) resp stam, resp/worthless bowl. I thought it was hilarious that someone had actually bought him at the time.

Perry went in the 11th over I think, then Sandwith managed just 1 off 2 balls, in Jeffries' last over. 43/3, and it was looking bleak. Fortunately, Reed and Fish have recovered somewhat. 100/3 from 26 overs. I'll almost certainly not see out 50 overs -- anything over 150 will be a bonus.

This is the first time in weeks that I've fielded a full 1st XI...the ratings should be fairly nice!

Just as they start upping the run rate, Reed goes for an excellent 69 from 100 balls. 135/4...and Hayward's in -- my last batsman, who can't buy a run right now.

I'll probably limp past 150...just not too far past. If I get a few early wickets, this game could still be close.
