The 12 match losing streak has finally ended. College Dropouts 10/246 49.5overs defeating ollyhawks 10/86 25.2overs. Doesnt it feel good flogging bot teams. The last time i played them i bowled them out for 35.

Had a tie today :( :@

Street 72(97)
Haughton 45(102:mad:)
Binns 45*(31)

Them 252/10

TIEing today against a side which had competent top order and seam in their last friendly. Decided to open with Badley for no real reason, but he took a wicket in his second over so it's working out well so far.

Looks like they TIEd their last league game, tho I doubt they'd GIF against you considering they play one of their relegation rivals after you, if anything they should TIE again against you. Fairly dull start for them so far anyways.

Well it was, until Badley started getting hammered as usual, Pollock too. Oh well, last time we played they scored 276/something and I scored 277/1, hopefully it'll be similar again.

This bug is making fitness and finance update before the match is over, so I know already that my fitness only went up one level, and I sold out my stadium - much-needed 129k that.

My fitness actually went up to fair shortly after it'd dropped 3 levels yesterday, bit strange considering I've got training intensity set to 100. Was nice getting £66,777 after I'd rounded out my ground, 90% full in the members and other seats - I've got extra terraces so I know what to expand to once everything else is at capacity.

Bleh, silly Cuss. Oh well, good opportunity for my other batsmen.

End of Over 17: 86-1, runrate=5.06, reqrunrate=5.73 (274-3)
Daniel 2-0-5-0
Berry* 26 (42 balls)
Gillete 44 (52 balls)

Going along steadily, if a bit sluggishly. Gillete's in good touch with centuries in his last two matches, and Berry's been fair to middling all season. Proficient, three respectables and a mediocre to come, so should be able to set up nicely for a late dash to the line.

Well a good win today over the previously unbeaten leaders, played on normal so i can go GFI next week and should take no 2 out aswell. Now any chance of top stop rests on The Trains beating Wazzes Wanderers when they meet and it'll be down to NRR.

I batted first and scored 307-7 and bowled them out for 274 in the 50th. Magloire scored his first league 50 and Lawrence scored 91* (697@139.40). Macauley and Keane shared 6 wickets but none of the bowlers were smashed (Atkins was most economical with 10 overs for 50 and Macauley was least economical conceding 53!)

Scoring faster might not be a bad idea: [edit: I didn't mean you have to get out...]

End of Over 31: 155-1, runrate=5.00, reqrunrate=6.32 (274-3)
Daniel 9-0-47-0
Gillete* 74 (93 balls)
Berry 61 (87 balls)

Anything less than 75 in the last ten I'll be fairly confident of getting. Beyond that we'll be struggling.

Debutants doing nicely - Beechers (19yo spinner) got 5-22 on a green track, while my 18-year-old batting talent Jules Crouch made 35*, so Dynamo can start TIEing in the league and going all out for the Norwegian championship. :)

...the what?

Exactly 100 needed off 90 balls, 8 wickets in hand. I decided to set Gillespie to normal instead of the very attacking he's usually on - might've been a mistake...

Edit: 61 off 60 now, 7 wickets left. Should be fairly straightforward, though his best bowler is coming on for a three-over spell later.

Terrific. Gillespie hits a four, a six, gets out, next guy makes one. 48 off 54, five in hand. Two respectables at the crease and just a mediocre to come.

Friendly cup for the Norwegian battrick managers. There's six or seven signed up already. :D
Ah, OK. There seems to be quite a few.

Managed to win quite comfortably in the end, after a little scare. Nice way to get the winning runs too.

And that's the end of the match. Asterix XI won by 5 wickets.
Crouching Tigers 274-3
Asterix XI 280-5

End of Over 48: 280-5, runrate=5.83
Hazel 8-2-48-1
Bridge* 43 (29 balls)
30 (23 balls)

47.2 6 Hazel to Begg
Smart footwork creates a full toss which he smashes back over Hazels head.
47.1 4 Hazel to Begg
Waits on it and a great late cut.
Bridge really enjoys batting at 5; his strike rate seems to double when he bats there. Bowlers still bowling very very rubbish though. Happy with that, a win and a TIE, might consider one next week as well.

Reporter's Summary
  	Asterix XI Crouching Tigers
Top Order: respectable competent
Middle Order: mediocre feeble
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: respectable competent
Spin Bowling: feeble mediocre
Fielding: mediocre mediocre
My reporter's summary rating was a little higher than I expected. Their's suggests they probably played on normal. Next week's opponent had mediocre top order, feeble seam and mediocre spin today, so no prizes for guessing what I'm doing in next week's match.

I'm not doing too badly, then.

(admittedly that was lively fitness, but it's not too crap)

so far a quite strange match. i was 47/0, when i lost 3 wickets in the space of 5 balls, leaving me 48/3 in the 11th over. hamshaw and cuss went a bit bizerk after that though and we now sit on 115/3 after 20. hamshaw on 55, and cuss on 29

its all turning bad. after my lower order helped the team through to 229 ao, my bowlers are now getting smashed around which is just disappointing
